My son has a samsung r 60 plus processor is an Intel core 2 duo T5550 1.83 ghz 667 MHZ fsb 2MB cache and a ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 graphic card.I was wondering if he got a better graphic card would it play world of war craft any faster without lagging or is the speed just down to the processor. If it is the graphic card then can you suggest any graphic cards that would fit and worth putting in .
Many thanks Mark

If i hae missed something out please ask

You can't upgrade the graphics card on that laptop (or 99.9% of laptops).

you can possibly push a little more out of your gfx following this guide, to install the latest ati drivers http://www.klopfenstein.net/lorenz.aspx/installing-original-ati-catalyst-drivers-on-a-mobility-card once installed you might even be able to squeeze out a tiny overclock using overdrive. other than that, make sure you've maxed your ram. there isn't much else you can do, laptops displays are often a higher resolution for a screen size vs desktop displays, so if the game is running at native it might be worth trying taking it down a notch.

Most laptops are not really suitable for gaming.

If he wants to play games get a playstation/Xbox, or a desktop PC.

That doesn't have a good graphics card and to add one you'd have to replace the power supply, it'll probably work out cheaper to buy a machine with a good graphics card to start with.
