Laptop tech help

Just got a new latop last week. All was working fine with it untilthe internet stopped working properly, changed the router channel and it's been fine since then.

However the wireless internet only seems to function when the laptop is attached to the mains (ie not running off the internal battery). All other functions operate correctly when it's running off the battery,I just don't understand why thie internet won't.

Is anyone able to help with this problem? I'm running Windows Vista Premium btw, would a system recovery help?

Odd I've never seen a laptop behave like that.

I'd have a look around the keyboard for the wireless hotkey, most have one. You press Fn + some function button (top row) and it toggles the power to the wireless card, on & off.

It well may be the settings are wrong in powersave mode. Click on the battery icon on your desktop and look at the options to see if wireless is turned off in battery only mode.

Repped thanks so much, never had a laptop before so didn't know wat to look out for, even the tech support hotline didn't have a clue and told me I had definitely got a virus.

Thanks a lot
