You don't want that size of a screen! You want a 13.3" screen. Take this one!

That's pretty much exactly the same as what I bought when I was in your situation back in August, only I went for the Vostro equivelent, and spent £30 more and got the system with a four year NBD warranty. I've since upgraded the system a couple of times, bringing it up to a T9300 CPU (£140, but well spent I think) and 4GB of RAM (one of the perks of buying direct, I was able to ask for a single 2GB module rather than the standard 2x1GB) and the video card isn't very powerful but does overclock extremely well (default 1.2GHz shader clock, I run it without issue at 1.7GHz), but I was and still am very happy with the system.

Admittedly, for me, the warranty was the deal-breaker. Having worked for Dell, I knew that I could trust the next business day policy, free bonus power adaptors and harddisks, and replacement keyboards and optical drives as needed, and the four year warranty I knew could be manipulated to give me a whole new system in a couple of years time, once mine has enough failures. Failures caused by, oh, I don't know, overclocking the GPU by 500MHz? :) So I was prepared to spend a little more on a sort-of underpowered system knowing I could upgrade it and abuse it. The deal suits me perfectly. And the systme itself is good. Bit heavy at around 3KG, but that's no problem.

If I didn't kniw the Dell warranty policy inside-out, I still might've bought the same thing.

its gonna be used in my flat as my desktop replacement so not worried about weight much ........just want a laptop that does everything i need without upgrading :)

i have a dell pc at moment and would go for a dell but its more about sticking to my budget & getting the best spec (don't want a high spec that keeps failing)
