Not surprise Sainsbury’s on the list !! Ii had cancelled my card TWICE , as someone was using it.
Once £80 on a tv from tescos!! and the other time in the USA !!.........
The good thing is sainburys deals with it very quickly and refund me any losses.

Its horrible to think that every time you use your card to pay for something there is such a risk at the hands of fraudsters.

I have a separate account which I keep the minimum in and just keep transferring across what I expect to spend on card purchases each week to combat any potential loss

I do something similar since we all know (should know) that debit cards have very little protection.

For that reason I keep the majority of my money in a basic savings account then drip feed money into the account that's linked to my debit card. That way should I lose the card, have it cloned... etcetera it's limited to what's in the account (no more than a few hundred).

But it was a hell of lot safer than the old signature way. The fraudsters just need to work a little harder to get your money.
