Google Earth lets you fly anywhere on Earth to view satellite imagery, maps, terrain, 3D buildings and even explore galaxies in the Sky. You can explore rich geographical content, save your toured places and share with others.
- Photo-realistic buildings from cities around the world
- Dawn to dusk views with the Sunlight feature
- Swoop navigation from outer space to street-level

I have moved this to the misc forum as we generally do not allow downloads as deals/freebies. Thanks.

Be honest.... When you first downloaded Google Earth, did you look for your own roof ?
Would it have been easier to go out into your back garden & have a look ?

Great find btw ! :)

Please can you explain the difference between my post and that of:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/174580/free-download-of-classic-rockstar-g/ (currently 245 degrees)

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/173259/free-ubuntu-8-04-operating-system-c/ (currently 425 degrees)

as these are both free versions of software that have been posted to the Freebies section (and seem to have attracted a good deal of attention) which is why I posted mine in that very section.

Can't see the top of my chimney from the back yard, so it's always good to know it's there. :p

The first one will or should get moved
The linux one is an actual disc in an envelope, posted to your house through your letterbox then put into your computer.

Some peeps may find virtual earth better than google earth as regards birdseye view coverage.
#10
......okay and the fact that it is a disc that is posted to your house which you then have to load up to your computer in order for it to work makes it different from downloading software directly to your pc how exactly? Surely the end result is the same or are we just being a little pedantic about the difference between a free disc and a free download. :whistling:

ok...........so if its free software available as a download then its posted in Miscellaneous........but if that free software is available elsewhere on a cd then it gets posted in Freebies........and am I right in thinking that someone has actually spent valuable time coming up with that distinction. LOL. :-D

One is a physical item, one isn't.

Keep the good advice coming  . Invaluable service. Just to confirm - if I charge them all for the cost of the stamp does it then go in Deals or Freebies?

Put google earth on a cd, post it to every person then you can put it in freebies.

Sure, the results are the same if you've got a fast enough connection to download it but not everybody has. I would imagine those two are in freebies because they're free copies of things you normally have to pay for, wheras google earth has always been free. It does seem a bit arbitrary but I guess it's to stop tons of freeware programs eclipsing the few free versions of stuff you normally have to pay for.
