Hey, my iphone 3G has just recently caught ,the no service error

http://****.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180664374609&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Just wondering if the above service is legit and if you would trust it

i know there is alot of them over ebay, however this one seems a very reasonable price

alternatively, if anyone knows anyways to fix the no service error, that would be greatly appreciated

thanks :)

this was on here a few days ago, I copied the text from one of the other members just in case I needed for some reason, sorry I can't remember who it was but they were a long standing member:

This is all it is..

1. go to this site and enter serial https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do

2. Enter your iPhone serial number (settings general > about)

3. Look at the Repairs and Service Coverage, if you phone is covered then it will state Active
if not then will say expired

4.Make sure you choose UK for your country

5. Click on setup a repair it will take you to the next page

6. Now click on Request Online Service

7. If you have an apple i.d then enter the email and password if not create one, use your existing email and enter address name etc

8. Select the fault which applies to your phone and confirm then tick the boxes shown on page regarding warranty that your phone is eligible for repair.
(for No service – enter reception issues and add to the comment "phone saying no service"

9. once you have completed the request and entered all details you will be sent a empty box with pre-paid postage for return to apple care.

10. You can track online the progress on the apple support website

11. Apple will return your phone with a refurbished one within 2-3 working days

Have you tried following the advice found via Google?

Go to Settings: General:Reset.
Click Reset Network Settings
Enter your passcode if you have created one.
Click the red button: Reset Network Settings
After approximately 1 minute the phone will reboot & everything should be fine.

I posted this.

Why pay for it when you can do it yourself? Don't try it if the phones network blocked/barred or they will just keep the phone
