LEGITIMATE HOME WORKING JOBS- ANYONE KNOW OF ANY?

icey98 Avatar

does anyone know of any legitimate home work jobs out there? im a house wife looking after 2 kids, but i would really like to earn money from home too.

most places on the internet ive looked at are a complete scam where you have to pay to join etc. ive joined a few survey sites and mystery shopping places with not much joy.

ive heard some many stories of scams on piece work, stuffing envelopes, typing too that i really dont know where to start and where to look.

i even tried the kleeneze business but that was a waste of time, as i would get 1 book back from a whole street, so i wouldnt want to do anything like that.

can anyone help?

if i were a homealone looking for a job id work ofr chat up lines or text companies
#2
do you know how i would go about looking up that at al or is it just a case of good old google lol
#3
i did the text thing for one shift, not for me though and you would have to do many hours for decent money
#4
yes but its hours you would spend getting on with life at the same time

i mean all those saucy 20 year olds are middleaged/housebound housewives doing their ironing
#5
if you dont mind me asking what was the pay per hour, and how many hours did you have to do for to get decent money?
#6
if you get that job let me know your number!
#7
I do paid blogging, the market has dried up a bit in recent months thanks to google penalizing those that do it, but you can still earn a few £100 a month doing it, not exactly a full time wage but more some nice extra pocket money :)

Yep that's the main company I use :)
#12
Most printing companies have out work which you can do at home...
#13
starlet,

thanks for that. this may be me being a bit thick but upon reading their terms do you have to pay them for this service at all, or is it free.

also i noticed they pay in dollars. does this make any difference to me being in uk, as i am used to the uk money conversions and not familiar with dollars.

if you could break down whats what etc i would really appreciate that. thanks so much for your time x

there is this survey site i signed up to awhile back

they pay 50p per survery, and you get credited every month

i did it for about 2 days as it got a bit tedious for me but
and they notify you of every new survery by email so

you could give that a try?

Have you thought about selling stuff on ebay? I know it isn't always popular with everyone on this forum but I make a nice bit of pocket money selling our unwanted stuff and things I pick up at car boot sales dead cheap. Obviously the more time you put in the more money you could make. I also have a friend who has a ligit business selling costume jewelry on ebay and her own website which makes a very healthy turnover.

did you actually get paid for doing it?

Payperpost has advertisers accounts as well as bloggers accounts, any where it mentions you paying it is referring to an advertisers account which is not what you'd have.

As a blogger you don't pay any thing at all. I have been using them for around 6 months and get paid no problem, as long as you have a paypal account it doesnt matter about currency, it'll just go into your account in dollars (fyi $1 = 50p pretty much) and comes out in pounds.

First you have to get your blog accepted, so you have to put in a little work first getting a site set up and you need to have had an active blog for 90 days. But once you are in it's easy as, you just login and a list of 'OPPs' comes on screen, they pay different amounts (any where from $5 to $100!) depending on how much they want you to write, how much traffic you get, what your blog is about etc, pick the ones you like and after 30 days of the 'ad' being on your blog you get paid. You can take a maximum of 3 opps per blog per day, but can have as many blogs listed as you like.

Hope that helps :)

yeah

i made an astonishing..............£1.50

but like everything, its beneficial if you stick at it

http://my.yougov.com/go.aspx?...........................

thats my new referal link, so if you get another person to sign up. However much they get paid for the surveys they do, you get the same just for referring them.

not bad
#31
just registered says you have to get £50 before you get paid anything. you know how many surveys you can do a day as there is none availible.
banned#32
I would be interested in that too, roughly how many surveys per day do you get asked to do? I mean, one a day at 50p means it will take around 5 months before you get paid.
50p per day = 100 days before payment, then another 30 days to get cheque sent to you, another few to get cheque, another few to clear. Quite a lot of hassle for £50.
#33
i think i actually joined that one. it did get a bit tiresome! the best ones im with at moment are valued opinions
ipsos access panels. they tend to pay out better rates like 1.50 instead on average instead, but again it defo not a good income scheme but it pays for my boots makeup every few months lol.

funnily enough (cause ive tried everything beleive me to try and get some extra cash at home ha ha) i tried the ebay thing. but by the time ebay take their insertion fees, then their selling fees plus paypal take fees for people paying paypal you dont end up with much left! it seems you make lot of money if you sold something for 30 pound for instance, but you would prob end up with about 20 in the end! i even tried the car boot stuff. got some old antique plates etc but it never took off, and i started to sell my own hand crafted jewelry, which i think i sold about 5 in the end out of about 30 i listed so i gave up! seems like your friend is doing pretty well thou. unless it was time of year i did it or something!

I've found this site
http://getpaidforum.com/forums/index.php
seems to be ok. if you check out the forums some of the members are listing which sites are best for pay per click and tons of other stuff. i've looked at a few and the better ones i found are Gptreasure,Donkeymails ( google them for the sites)
they seem to pay more.
hope this helps, ive done the surveys with loads of companies some are good and other are a total waste of time, lightspeed and yougov are the 2 that spring to mind, I will have a look tomorrow for the others and i'll post them on here.

thanks for that. im gonna check those out now! :-D

Sorry for not replying sooner, have been away. OPPs is short for 'oppertunities' and it's basically just what they call the available adverts to you. I personally am making approx $250 a month at the moment, but because I only have 1 blog in the system and things are generally slowish on the site I am on the low end of the earners, the high end earners are doing $1500 a month....so basically you'd be any where between the 2 I think lol
