Great to see Kante here watching too. What a night for Leicester. Second best night ever for the club (first being the league win of course).

Excellent performance from Leicester City tonight. Quarter final will be very competitive and IMO it will be end of their European journey.

Fantastic performance and result - just like watching them last year.

What about this for a precedent to emulate. Exactly 35 years before Rainieri was sacked and replaced by his assistant, Tony Barton took over from Ron Saunders in February 1982 at Aston Villa. Villa went on to win the European Cup Final against Bayern Munich. Go on The Foxes!!

P.S. Arghh - Gary Lineker has just stolen my interesting fact as I was typing this out. Typical!! :)

Great result, caught Sevilla just at the right time. Given the teams that are through so far, it'll be a big ask to make it to the semis.

Italy....

Of all the teams left the furthest they will have to go is Italy.... a Juve tie...

I assume they will want to go the shortest distance.... ;)

It was stupid of Nasri but also really cheap of Vardy to do. Shoved him twice to provoke him.

Ignoring that and his miss near the end he was excellent tonight however

What odds on Leicester being relegated and going on to be the first second tier club in the European cup next season?

That would be some achievement!

Brilliant effort, hope they go all the way. Kasper is the main man.

I'd take a relegation for the champs league

Surely no one is still pretending he is a nice guy that we need a movie about anyway? He is a nasty piece of work but he can score some sweet goals....

He's excellent. Definitely takes after his dad!

So what's the chances of a manager coming anytime soon?

Shakespeare is managing the rest of the season

We've got one until the end of the season.

Interesting that he's got them playing the way they won the league and turned it round to avoid relegation the year before!

Vardy was cheap but Nasri, much like Hererra last night, was absolutely amateur to give the ref a decision like that in such a big game already on a booking!

Bring on Juventus in the next round 8)

Great to see Leicester progress. It's a shame that their league performance isn't at least living up to expectations so far this season (mid-table was what I expected).

I hope that they manage to progress further in to the competition. It would be an amazing story. It still is an amazing story regardless of what happens.

Looking at who's left in the Champions League, they're likely to get utterly thrashed in the Quarters. Hope they get Real Madrid.

Not sure why you have such a childish attitude towards Leicester...

Not childish, realistic. Out of who's left, who do you think Leicester can actually beat? Real Madrid, Bayern and Barca? Hell no. Juventus and Dortmund? Too good. Atletico Madrid and Monaco would rip that defence apart. Face it you better hope for Leverkusen or familiar Man City in the quarter finals.

Why not just let them enjoy the journey? Anything else just sounds bitter, and rather needless.

See how quickly the players are playing well after Ranieri got sacked? Coincidence? This player power thing enforcing loopholes in the Bosman ruling is disgraceful

Nasri ... what an idiot ... vardy knew he was on a yellow card...
Well done Leicester

Well done to Leicester.

CL journey will likely come to a end by the next game or 2 though. Hope they don't get embarrassed too much by the bigger boys. Although hope they do go all the way.

I'm also annoyed at what the players did to their manager, I think it was despicable, but the fans are entirely innocent in all of this and they'd be the ones who suffered if the team lost.

Ultimately fans don't support the players they support the club, and they support it whoever plays for it.
It's for the fans' sake I want the foxes to win, not the players sake nor the managers sake, but the fans' sake.

Leicester City flying the English flag alone in the Champions League - confounding the odds again. Pep's 'tactical genius' must have eluded him tonight. I think Leicester would like Monaco in the Quarter Final draw.

Can't believe City got knocked out. I'd welcome Monaco, however at the same time if Leicester don't go on to win it I'd like to witness them take on Madrid or Barcelona

I always knew Pep would struggle in the premier league. I wouldn't be surprised if he jumped ship soon.

I don't see why he was regarded as the worlds best manager? he's only ever managed ready made teams, Barca and Bayern, Bayern still play just as good without him. Actually Bayern i think is a better team without him. I always said that Pep will be in for a shock, and i doubt they will win the F.A cup either. He's made disastrous decisions IMO removing Hart to get in " the worlds best keeper" because hes apparently "better with his feet" then stats show Hart at Torino is actually better with his feet than Bravo, then dropping bravo for willy who was BY FAR second best to Hart just proves Pep hasn't got a clue what he's doing.

Leicester and their coaching staff are smarter than him.

Atletico Madrid in the Quarter Finals, out come the dopey 'Premier League is the best league in the World because Sky said so' fans on BBC Sport comment sections and Twitter saying things like "Winnable tie", "Atletico are defensive, we can win this", "least likely to provide fireworks", "easy draw" hahahahaha it's the 'Man Utd vs Atletic Bilbao' thing all over again!
