The race stewards have disqualified Lewis Hamilton from the Australian GP. Initially they had penalised Jarno Trulli for passing Hamilton under the pace car (Trulli had ran-ff the circuit and Hamilton slowed to allow him back past believing that he would be penalised for passing Trulli), but after "new evidence" they have now disqualified Hamilton for giving mis-leading evidence.
So a new season begins and the stewards have to get involved and cause controversy!
My take is that the stewards realised they have cocked up by penalising Trulli, but rather than admit they made a mistake they have to blame some one else and who better than Hamilton!
Discuss, if you care!
