There's also an admission that no money will be made available for new players until new owners are in place (and investment will initially be used to service the debts), so it looks like if new signings are to be made in July, Torres and/or Gerrard will be off.

At least this confirms what most Liverpool fans feared :-(

I think they mean football in general that's what it says to me.

Some of your Lego would be more benficial than money tbh.... at least we might be able to build a new ground then

doesnt make good reading. The way they factor the wages of new players into the transfer budget is a definitive ploy to deceive fans who are used to the old method of just including the transfer fee.

These Yanks need to be forced out of our club. They have done nothing positive since taking over

can we get bought by someone uber rich:

Not bothered about them being mega rich.... just someone who actually cares about the club would be a start.

Not quite as bad imo.... all this means is we're going to stagnate and not improve the squad until significant investment is found..... I can't see us going into administration as the debt is manageable (just about) and can be helped by player sales :-(

As long as things are sorted in the next 3-4 years anyway :w00t:

+1

However hope they get rescued, We'd miss them, Although it'd be good.

Administration on the cards in the near future? Points docked?

Not a chance... see my post directly above yours. If we don't get investment we'll end up as a mid-table team.... nothing more, nothing less.

The start of things to come in the EPL.

Hmm that seems to be doom and gloom, this article says were seeking investment but were not a selling club. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5912700,00.html

According to the link I posted, Christian Purslow was appointed in order to bring £100m investment into the club, but that money is only going to be used to lower the debt and nothing else. It also says that no money will be available for transfers, so Rafa will have to sell to buy.

That's what we thought at Leeds but it turned out to be bargain basement time.:x

Good luck to Liverpool anyway. Let's hope the new owners, whoever they may be, are not just in it for the wrong reasons again.
