LG viewty - what should be in the box

I just bought a mate a Viewty from Littlewoods as he was so impressed with mine. However, unlike mine his does not come with a USB lead and software disk. Can anyone confirm that these items should have been with the phone.

If it is a viewty lite (the KU990i) my vodaphone one came with earphones and datacable, it didn't have the stylus or software disc

Having contacted LG apparantly the new version I ordered from my mate is the Viewty Lite, which means apparantly it's lite of any accessories !! and thats why it is cheaper.

Sounds like someone has sent it back before???

it's cheaper because the lite version has less features than original viewty a cheaper lens, no image stablisation etc.

That's not really relevant as that compares the viewty lite against the viewty smart, aka the viewty 2, not the original viewty.

The datacables are available from fleabay for a couple of quid and the software is available for DL on LG's site here, you will need your IMEI number for it.

I have a viewity box and accessories at home he can have actually.
I traded my phone in with Mazuma so the box is just sitting around.

Can't remember what bits are in the box still but think most the bits are still there.
Offer is there if they want it. If they are ok just covering P&P costs it's theirs.

It doesnt have a cheaper lens, the lens is just no longer certified by Schneider

And therefore cheaper

This is so confusing. My Viewty will have been a Lite if I had bought it now I presume. Even so, it came with headphone, disc, USB and stylus. This new one has phone, battery, charger and manual. Thats it.

On the plus side it was £99.99 with a £25 off voucher plus Littlewoods commision; making it less than £75.00. Probably not the cheapest but the payments terms are good.

The certification of the lens is cheaper, the quality of it is exactly the same, therefore not cheaper.

It could be that the original one you got was a viewty and not the lite, have a look at the manual or box, the original was the KU990 and the lite is the KU990i, or it could just be that diiferent companies send out different packs

return it and get http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4-/9601169/LG-KU990-Viewty-Vodafone-Pre-Pay-Pay-As-You-Go-5-Megapixel-Camera-Mobile-Phone/Product.html

Sure somewhere was selling them for £49.99 the other day on here

Edit looking at the first review on play ... It appears play should remove it from sale as they are selling lite version and therefore falsely advertising 1 product to be another

Little bit of false advertising here

The phone you get is the newer model LG KU990i not the KU990 as listed.

There are benefits and drawbacks, the camera doesn't come with the Schneider-Kreuznach optics but image quality is still fairly decent. However due to the update the touchscreen is alot better than the previous model and is more responsive and accurate. I've only got the phone today and so haven't had a chance to use it properly but it comes with charger, manual, USB connector and headphones. One thing which is confusing me though is my number is not showing up on the phone as "my number" it's blank where the number should be.

Still for £80 to get decent"ish" camera AND a touchscreen mobile phone it's worthy of 5 stars. It's no nokia 5800 and certainly not an iphone but for the price it's amazing!

but they do say it comes with usb cable etc
