Nope...... and I wont make the mistake again.

However, Cameron may have pulled the sheets back and Clegg maybe looking on lustfully..... But he hasn't jumped into bed for a cuddle yet. (No homo)

Nope. I voted for them to keep the Tories out.

As a labour supporter this is good news. This means they can ditch Brown get a better leader in place and when the lib-con pact fails (in a year or so once its becomes clear the Tories aren't going to give any ground on PR) Labour will gain many disgruntled Lib Dem voters......
#5
Stupid thread - Cameron is in regardless - he could easily run a minority government but for the benefit of passing legs. he needs a majority and who wants labour

Lib dems are like a pathetic friend who will tag along with whoever is popular - no loyalty
#6
Stupid thread.....thanks for your opinion,,,The point is Clegg should have said who he was going to back before the election then voters would have known where their votes were going,

Anything is better than labour in my opinion.

Let's hope the tory's sort this country out.

how would it be any better if clegg sided with a party that had 3 million fewer votes than the tories?

He was brown nosing brown () in the live elections and brown was like get away from me your freak - so he became DavCAMs bumchum - Even now hes double crossing both of them behind their backs - who wants someone like thta running the country or playing a small part

Labour ruined this country lets hope the tories can reform it to what it used to be before 1997, the state its in now they cant do any worse

Not saying it would ,But people should have been told this before the election ,i am sure their are just as many Lib Dem voters who would not want a Labour government but it would have been nice for them to have been told before hand what their votes would be used for,
#11
wasted my vote in my opinion, would have never voted Tory in a million years and now it appears I may aswell have! Kick the lot of them out and start again!
#12
i think the lib dems will lose quite alot of votes and fatih from their traditional voters- a party that is renowned for being left/left of centre to go to the right side is a bit extreme

i think the next vote will defo be a two party vote - but again it results in a hung parliament it will mean the lib dems will have a huge part to play again - whether we like it or not under fptp and PR the lib dems are likely to be the party that holds the strings to the governing party

although i don't support independence i think it will be the only way Scotland can keep the tories out and feel now that it is inevitable in the years to come

Actually you were just voting for the MP in your constituency.

Regardless, it's probably going to get the Lib Dems more than they were realistically expecting, it gives them validity and it puts a check on the Tories.
#14
I voted for Obama...

2 Million you mean?

And cleggs party were 2 Million behind Labour.

So roughly 4 million behind the money pushed into the campaign of the rich keepers.

This will ruin Lib Dems, Cons party members don't want it and the Libs party don't want it. As someones said above will end up benefiting labour if they get some new faces and backing.
#16
So you wanted Nick Clegg to say 'hey everyone, I no longer have any faith at all that I might win, so if you vote for me, then Tories win but we get a hung parliament which I am CERTAIN is going to happen, then I will side with Tories'. Don't be so stupid

It may do, it may not. But I wouldn't be so willing to speak on behalf of both sets of members.

The Lib Dems were never going to win the election and the fact that they will have some say on real policy is a great step forward.

lol :-D

think seeing tories in power will only instigate the SNP's drive for independence- at least if this happens we will never see a tory government in Scotland again

Indeed.

Let's be honest here, it's the only chance they'll ever get to being a contender.

And as their whole election campaign was based around the possibility of parties talking to each other, they've now made a rod for their own back.

They fail at this, their manifesto goes down the toilet!

Exactly! For my constituency I wanted Lib dems to win, but I wanted Tories to win overall because I'm sick of labour and there was no way lib dems would have a chance overall. Our voting system is ridiculous. Also, my constituency is pretty much the only one for about a hundred mile circumference that is not labour, which is nice...

 the id be supprised if the lib dems agreed to a coalition with the torys, it would be a political suicide in for them in scotland, they would get very few votes next time round,

Hardly, if your location of glasgow is correct, the you must be in east dumbartonshire as its the only place in glasgow area thats not labour :p my constituency is dundee west, thankfully we held labout but are now surrounded by SNP muppets
#28
Yep, I'm happy! :-)

Any one with half a brain will know that Clegg is in a very strong bargaining positiion, and I think he showed himself to be nobody's fool in the televised debates.

And as someone else said - frankly - anything's better than more labour!!! :-S

Fair point, Argyle and Bute are also Lib Dems, I was sure when I looked at the map before it was basically all red in scotland.

Cameron can't rule without the Lib Dems, but the Lib Dems can rule without Cameron.

This is like pulling teeth.

Stalking now too? You've got it bad!

lib dems = scottish and welsh seats
tories = english seats

guess in a weird way does represent the votes...but do agree with gari that it will all fall apart soon. sucks as am a tory voter

Nope I can't say I'm happy about it.

Not a mistake I shall repeat though :)

October 16th mark the date of the next general election.

Clegg has previously stated he wouldn't work with Brown, and the LibDems won't sit comfortably working with a Tory coalition. We'll be back at the polls soon.

YES THEY CAN - You clearly understand nothing. Look up 'minority government'.

The Tories will hook up with the Lib Dems though - as I have been telling you from day one.

Just shows how we have to fight harder for complete independence for Scotland & Wales - we both have huge labour majorities and very few conservative seats - the people have spoken yet again and we need to distance ourselves from the idiots in Westminster who bear no relevance to us at all.

Does no-one actually remember Maggie Thatcher and how the Tories ruined this country ??? Wake up and smell the coffee people - the Tories will cut everything, we will lose many more jobs and industries, and the poor will become poorer as they always do under the Tories. Once again the working class will be penalised for trying to support themselves by cuts in working tax credits, the elderly will lose their pension credits and we will slide back to record numbers of our people living in poverty.
