Class series this

Trailers & info:

more info on the trailers can be found here

Stolen from tv.com:

For those who are interested, it appears that BBC1 is now confirming that a spinoff of Life on Mars will be produced at the conclusion of Series 2.
The series will also be titled after another David Bowie tune, 'Ashes to Ashes' and follow Gene Hunt and other characters from the original series set this time in the 80's.
Project is technically not been given the green light but they are in negotiations with Kudos (Production Co. for Life on Mars).
Stay tuned

Also it looks like, if I am reading Digiguide right, that BBC4 will be showing the 2nd episode at 10pm

So:

Tues 13/02 BBC1 9pm Season 2 Episode 1
Tues 13/02 BBC4 10pm Season 2 Episode 2

Tues 20/02 BBC1 9pm Season 2 Episode 2
Tues 20/02 BBC1 10pm Season 2 Episode 3

etc

I hope anyways.

They did this with Spooks and Hustle and a couple of others on BBC3 and it was good, except when it came to season finale, meant 2 week gap for BBC1 to catch up and show the finale on BBC1.
#6
Thanks for the extra info schizoboy :) I haven't watched all the first series yet, by then I might have.
#7
There's a "making of Life on Mars" which should also be on that DVD.

Good stuff :)
#8
Trust the Gene Genie!
Chicken!? In a basket!?
It's not a windup love, he really thinks like this!
#9
I'm really hoping there is more episodes this season
BBC needs to give up on idea of BBC America and franchise it's series instead, couldn't care less if Americans and others have chunks of episodes slashed off to make room for adverts, ££££££££££££ for more episodes would be preferred ;-)
#10
It's annoying when you see box sets of DVD's in US with loads of extras, yet they're made by the BBC. Like BlackAdder was originally and also Father Ted for example.
#11
I never get why US albums, US UK-Produced dvd boxsets have bonus tracks and more extras.

I have to assume its cheaper to product the extra packaging/discs? etc
Who knows.

The sooner removable discs die the better.

Give every home a 4xHitachi 1tb drive media centres already.
#12
they add more so people will be tempted to buy them rather than just buy cheap imports or nick them for free off the web.
#13
Probably as they have to promote to a larger group of people too.
#14
My daughter was in a VUE cinema yesterday and picked up a freebie 'Police Handbook' done in a Life on Mars stylee with DCI Hunt procedures, very nice little collectable to put in your DVD box set or knock out on ebay.

BBC

The International Emmy Award winning series, Life on Mars is back on our screens from Tuesday 13th February for a final series with John Simm returning as DI Sam Tyler, the time travelling detective who, after a car accident, found himself in 1973.
Also returning alongside Simm, are Philip Glenister, Liz White, Dean Andrews and Marshall Lancaster as Tyler's Seventies colleagues, who are only just getting to grips with the DI's new-fangled ways of investigating crime.
The second series marks the thrilling finale of the smash hit show and viewers will finally learn the truth about DI Sam Tyler (Simm) and how he came to be stuck in 1973. However, fans will have to keep watching until the end of the series on BBC ONE before their speculative theories are laid to rest.
Look out for updates to this website.

If you like the music from it, there will be a soundtrack release 19th February I think.

Don't know if it will include this lot though:

the next episode was shown right after last nights first episode on BBC4 and if its anything to go by when spooks was on, they always showed next weeks show on BBBC4. so there is the dilema do you wait a week for next weeks or get "double dabbies " this week  I went for option 1 and roll on next tuesday :prop:
