I never used it, so my opinion is positively neutral ;-)
And, TBH, I am quite happy to see posts without the obligatory "use G/C to get this price" :)
#2
I've never used it, Although i've heard of it and posted deals using GC, Voted for the "What is Google Checkout? Never used it/heard of it" though.
#3
^^^ ditto
#4
I used it quite a lot, it saved me about £130 in total. These purchases would have been made anyway.
Now that it's finished it will stop some of the GC junk posts that kept popping up.
#5
saved £60...£40 was a last minute dash tonight
#6
It's saved me alot but it also incouraged me to overspend, next time i hope to be better prepared and keep to my budget, lol :-P
#7
Has it expired?
#8
Google checkout is evil, I have so much junk from impluse buys!
But I saved myself £80, so not all bad :P
#9

would have been a better deal if it was £20 Off orders over £50 mind you ;-)

Lol!
If that was the case, I dont think I would have set a budget for myself :giggle:

Never used it because they didnt accept visa electron, so i refuse to rate it (Y) even for the bargins it made.

t0mm I used my visa electron. They just accepted it as a normal visa.
#13
They rejected mine :(
#14
i too used electron. i really hope the offer gets repeated.
#15
I couldn't use Electron either. Kept getting the "card not recognised" message. Suddenly on Wednesday it started working. Maybe it was a glitch Google needed to iron out.

I saved £80: £70 on computer components, and a tenner over the weekend on eBuyer's cheap guitar+amp combo. Also saved a friend a tenner on a replacement laptop hard drive. I guess that the extra shipping cost of buying things separately ate a little of the savings though. I would have been buying these things eventually however, so it's all good and I like feeling like I saved money.

<3 Google.

I hope your 1000th post is going to be more sensible . Genuinely no offence intended but why would they repeat the offer.

why would they repeat the offer.

Look at the post GC slump...that's why :) Although I would be surprised to see it.

Of those who have an ebuyer account (or svp, aria, empire etc) and used ebuyer before GC, I wonder how many will continue to use GC in the future or will revert to the regular ebuyer checkout? Can't really decide whats going to be best myself - no real advantage now to GC, although I had no problems with their service/tracking process etc.

would you still get some kind of discount in the future? or would it just be a universal account that you can use on anything?
#22
I signed up several weeks ago but couldnt find details about the offer anywhere so I didnt bother. If its not on the first page then I'm not interested

The only cash back site I use now is Quidco - and to be honest it would take alot for me to use something else.
#23
I only used it once (well twice, but the first item went back)...it was a great little deal but I am glad it's over because now I never have to buy anything from bloomin ebuyer ever again!
#24
I didn't use it. I'd rather sell my soul to the devil than Google.
Any company that willingly makes money from communist countries that repress free speech isn't worth dealing with. IMHO of course.

While I can see the logic in your post, I hate to say that you need to boycott 99% of companies then as these days just about everything is made in China.

Voted the last one - never used it.

I don't buy when theres a good deal, or a chance to save money, i only buy it if i was going to buy that product anyway...no point buying for the sake of it
#27
to be honest i got sick of seeing every item on ebuyer posted as deal through google checkout ie buy 3404030 rj45 connectors and get a tenner off

seriously though - i didnt like google checkout - item tracking was a pain

Yeah, I have to admit I was starting to find that a little annoying, I didn't use it myself I was concerned about any potential issues on refunds.

Just picked up a SATA hard drive from Aria early on and a last minute 1gb of DDR Ram from Ebuyer.
Thing is, I can see no earthly reason to use it without the £10 inducement.

Well i don't have the money available to buy most things that have a discount, wish i did have :whistling:

But things like xbox 360 games which i buy a lot - when i see them cheaper on here it saves me money

google checkout messed up my details on my first and only order, the address they gave ebuyer to send to was:-
mr robert

not much for the postman to go on :w00t: . I spotted it early and rectified it with ebuyer so they have my full name and address on their system.

Interestingly though I received a letter earlier today from tv licensing saying that I had bought TV equipment from ebuyer (it was a pc graphics card?) and that there is no record of mr robert having a license at this address (robert is my christian name not my surname lol). I do have a tv license so not a problem, just wondered if it was common practice to inform tv licensing whenever "tv equipment" was purchased and who informed them google or ebuyer? I'm guessing google as they have my correct details for my address but still have me down as mr robert for billing. who else are google sharing my information with? :?

Yes, it's standard procedure when buying a TV for your details to be forwarded to the liscensing department regardless where you buy it from.
