I'm thinking about putting up somethings for sale.

Books, kids clothes and random things we dont need.

Should I list everything together? Or should I put the books in one thread clothes in another etc? Is there a limit as to how many photo pics you can have in a thread?

I know that you can only bump your thread 3 times and I'm guessing that photo pics dont count as a bump aslong as it comes before anyone else has? I think anyways.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think it's not more than 5 or 6 pics per post.

I would do clothes in 1 thread, books in another and say anything like dvds in 1 and so on. You could also just put general clearout and put in title the type of things up for sale.

Thanks, I just dont want to end up clogging up the FT forum and getting into trouble for it, so would rather just know where I stand before hand lol.

Will need to give the clothes a wash and an iron as they've been sitting in the cupboard and take pics, will get the OH to help me sort everything out when he gets back, wont he be pleased lol.

I've done several different type of items at once and even updated the thread at a later date if I've needed to add more as I find things.

Have fun,I'm working on sorting out our odds and ends,my Mum said chuck it all but I'm way too stingy,so am on eBay,just a few bits each night I'm listing.

Just when you send your item, get certificate of posting ok,anything worth a fair bit, consider sending signed for means, think its 75p for Recorded mail to cover upto £39 or whatever a 1st class stamp is.

State your price too what you want the items.

Post your thread and then reserve the first few posts straight away. Each post then can then hold 5 images or you could just put a description of the item and then a link to the picture. That way you can get them all in one post.

I'd separate them up into categories personally as said above.

Yeah I was thinking of using ebay but to be honest I'd rather leave that as a last resort with the fees on there.

I'm willing to provide, name, address, phone number etc to whoever would want it, not that I'm going to be selling mega expensive stuff or anything but would rather cover all my bases.

I also know that your supposed to put a piece of paper with your username on it so I'll remember and do that too.

Thats great tho, I'll sort them out into categorys and put them up as soon as I can.

Thanks for your help the both of you.

i too would use a few threads, kids clothers to one, books another etc,etc

some people also copy and paste their opening post into post 2, so they can edit to add when something is sold, as said 5 pics per post also, so 2nd post can hold a duplicate of 1st post plus 5 pics

I have sold a bit on here before but not had much go lately that as been on so I've gone back to eBay. I just bump up the postage a bit to help the fees, but I'm not like over excessive, like today I posted an item I got 35p for,I charged £1.50 postage and it cost me £1.08 to send,it was just enough to cover Paypal fee etc. lol 35p why I bother...
