Little things you'd miss about your current car

My missus is getting rid of her car of 1 year as she's starting studying again soon.

I drive an old '97 Mk1 Suzuki Wagon R 1.0 and I was thinking today just what I'd miss about it. It's the little things like being able to fit a 4 port 12v port replicator perfectly into where the ashtray used to be (so I can plug in and mess with all my gadgets), the looks from women, particularly old ladies, knowing that they'd love to fold the back seats back and go for a ride.

Edit: Also we've both shared a lot of memories over the years!

I'd really miss my little car & am glad it's the one staying. I don't think I'd get quite as much pleasure out of a new car, even with all their gimmicks.

What's the little thing(s) about your car that make you never want to let it go?

Yeah if I saw you in the lane next to me I'd wind down my windows and shout "Hey babes, wanna cyber?". And believe me, you would - I drive a cube on wheels for a reason.

Polo, my first car... The seating position is carp since I can't see the dials properly, the radiator doesnt work to well. Cd player wont always eject.
The only good thing is that it's quite roomy for a small car and it handles superbly.

The washer jets is a genius idea! I'm gonna re-aim them. Especially the back one cus I never use it and it can hit the car behind when they tail gate me!

Have some rep!

I would miss loads of things -
the toilet flush next to the clutch (to squirt my washers)
my adjustable map light that i use to keep my feet warm in the winter
the typical 70's seat belts that won't connect in one go (takes a few goes back and forwards)
The attention it gets from balding middle aged men that come up to me saying "I used to have one of those"

oh, and going fast round a roundabout with my dog on the back seat when i've just cleaned them - so funny

Putting it into third gear at 60 and watching the smoke plume out the exhaust onto the convertible behind me trying to bully me into pulling into the next lane :)

I also forgot to mention one of my fav features - the fact it's so tall and has such a big aerial I can receive stations far and wide, whatever time of the year. DX'ing in my car can be a fun little hobby in traffic jams or while bored.

Also I can transmit via 12v to my iPod for a good mile or more under optimal conditions. This added together makes being in my car a lot of fun. :santa:
