ordered sale items from littlewoods weeks ago .... they never arrived .. surprise surprise.
recieved a letter saying order cancelled out of stock

so i finally after a week of trying got through to them and they have just told me the order was cancelled as they want a copy of my driving licence,passport and a paid bill as there was a dept left behind by someone else at my address.
i then asked where my refund was back onto my card , and they said they cant do that untill they have recieved the above information.

i dont even want a credit account , i paid by card!!

can they get away with this? the items were paid by debit card!!

does anyone know if my bank will do anything?

i really dont think they can get away with it, phone citizens advice x
im trying to get through to my bank at the moment. i dont know if they can do anything about the payment.

I havent had the same problem, but I AM having problems with them at the moment with my order, not even in the sale !!

They took £125 off my card on 20th June, I gave them my address details and my order should have been delivered yesterday, but I got a call from the courier and he read out the first 2 lines of the address, which were correct and then read out the post code and for some reason only known to them, they had given completely the wrong postcode and sent my item to a depot 50 miles away, so they were refusing to deliver it.

I called Littlewoods to let them know exactly how piddled off I was, to be told the procedure was the item would be returned to the depot and a refund would be issued to me. She then said she could order a replacement now, for delivery on 30th July, but they wanted another £125 off me. So spent 45 mins until they put me through to special authorisations who agreed to re-order my item and not charge my card, and I'll call them up and pay for the item when I've been refunded for the one that was 50 miles away from me.

I wont ever use them again !!! :viking:
