littlewoods returns and replacement item

i bought a tv and the right hand side of the lcd is slack, after getting littlewoods to send out and engineer to look at the tv it was decided that i would be filed for getting a replacement on the guys report.

So littlewoods phone today asking if i wanted the same tv or different and i said yes and they gave me delivery of this monday and they will collect the old one,

anyways just logged in to my account and noticed they have added the price for the second tv on my account

is this standard practice and then they will refund the tv i originally bought
or have they made a mistake??

i have never had to return anything before

i obviously stick the lable addressed to them to the box
what about the one that says customer proof do i take that bit off, and who signs it and dates it

and the bit that says its faulty do i put that in side the boox or on the outside

i asked the woman when she phoned me to organise the new one and she said i just fill it out the normal way but ave never had to return anything to them before

Hi,
its common practice for them to do it this way, you will get a refund for the original faulty tv once they have recieved it and checked it over, this for some reason can take a couple of weeks though!:?

One word of warning I got an xbox 360, the first time i turned it on it got rrod so i arranged a return, a month later they were statement showed they were still charging me for it so I rung up and was told they never got it!! the worst thing was I lost my proof the delivery guy gave me, luckily though they let me off and said it was a good will gesture! So make sure you keep the proof the driver gives you when he picks your tv up:thumbsup:

As for the returns info card you have to fill in, put that in the box with the tv, hope this helps,
all the best jake

Yeah its pretty normal, most places would wait for the TV back before they sent another so at least this way you get your replacement quicker :)

If you used a discount code or something make sure they are charging you the same price on the new TV

Ive returned a couple of faulty electrical items to them recently and they charge you for the replacement and credit the original purchase so you are fine. They have quite good after service for a catalogue. I bought a heater from grattan that broke within a month and they told me to take it up with the manufacturer whereas littlewoods replace if not working within the years guarantee

also looking to take out the extended policy for covering the tv for 3 years think that would be including the first year

so for 2 years i would be 140. and then have my one intial year = 3

Not worth it as you are covered with the sale of goods act anyway. :)
