What a crock this group really is.

I ordered a printer as seen here on HUKD, received confirmation but no printer turned up. Eventually I realised it should have been delivered ages ago and checked the Very website:

EPSON SX515 WIFI PRINTER ONE COLOUR ONE SIZE 1 Delivery date: 08/02/2010

Status: Cancelled

Not even an email to tell me, just cancelled without a word.

I hear they are going down the pan, not soon enough if you ask me. Let's hope they put us out of their misery soon.

Haha i just noticed them since you said that

Why did they cancel the order? was it a misprice?
banned#4
Yep, and now you have the dance to get a refund, all the time paying for the call while you are on wait, to be told 'we are experiencing very unusual seasonal demand" and when you ask for a refund, "someone will call you back"

I ended up calling visa and doing a chargeback, it was quicker and cheaper

do not deal with any shop-direct company, they NEED to go bust, and slowly they are
#5
Well they didn't contact me so I don't know. I was hoping others who might have seen it on here and ordered may have an idea. The HUKD topic on it has mysteriously disappeared but the feeling in it was that whilst it was a very good price, it wasn't a misprice.

Whatever the reason I would accept it, but surely they should at least tell me.
#6
I dont want them to go bust...i'm still waiting for a portable dvd player to arrive. Told it would be end of January 2010, few days before delivery date got an e-mail saying put back to mid-feb now been told March. Although i have just bought coat and shoes which are on a buy now pay feb 2011.

Yep, probably because littlewoods must pay a nice price for links to them

Unlike Ebuyer which got a ban, probably because it didnt pay any money

littlewoods has stole money off many people, yet HDUK dont regard this worth mentioning or banning them for
#8
My order was cancelled too which I was pretty annoyed about.

Last week some silly cow had the nerve phone up asking if the printer had arrived safely

Then a couple of days ago they send me a letter about extending the warranty. Are they trying to rub my face in it or what? Lol.

But I don't want them to go bust because I've had a fair few bargains from them :)
#9
Don't worry, they aren't capable of going busy :whistling: [oh too late, you changed it to bust lol ]

Not half, Littlewoods/Very pay 10% to affiliates who send them buyers
#10
Well normally littlewoods group use non contact cancellation for two reasons, mis-price or transactions that have used codes they think your not eligible to use.
#11
That's fine, I don't believe there is any place in professional business for "non contact cancellations". That is my little point.
#12
I too believe that one of the largest online catalogue countries in the country should go bust with the loss of hundreds of jobs due to someone not getting a cancellation e mail.

Not someone, don't act like a simpleton - it's hundreds or thousands of people, for the sake of someone adding a bit of code to the order processing software that automatically sends a cancellation email once the cancellation is inputted.

See? It's not even something that needs to be done after it is set up. Maybe you think "one of the largest online catalogue countries in the country" are immune from giving respectful service - the hundreds or thousands of mistreated customers may prefer to see them gone than still trading and useless.

If they do go, it won't be my fault will it? It will be down to the people who ran it making elementary mistakes, so excuse me for not feeling responsible for their demise.

if it was just one or a few occasions, then i would agree. But this kind of treatment from them is widespread and has affected thousands. HDUK deleting threads with 100;s of comments doesn't help spread the information to the people that need it
#16
Maybe they should go bust actually, bunch of idiots and crooks, bought items from them twice, order was cancelled by them, and they said I cancelled order myself and my delivery charge was not refunded back to my card until I called em up yesterday..

If these hundreds or thousands of customers don't like it, they'll shop elsewhere(until the next bargain comes along).

If you don't like the site and the way it Admin handle things, leave, the same with Very etc, if this treatment is so widespread, don't order from them, I take the attitude if I order a good deal/glitch/mis price from anywhere, if I get it fab, if I don't que sera sera
#19
Once they've driven it down as far as it can go someone like laundry magnate and dragon's den star Theo Opodopolis will buy it for a song , turn it round in an afternoon and make another busting profit.

It's that close to being viable, really. But it will self destruct as it is.

I believe in standing up for what is right, not just leaving, thank you

I do not order from very or shop direct and never will again

Correct at last!

They only sell misprices and things with ridiculous voucher codes and deliver neither. People will shop elsewhere, have you not read the news? That's where they currently find themselves - in trouble.

Yes but why should they bother. your not getting the item and they know you'll be back next time there is a mis-price or code. Besides where there making their money is when Ms Smith buys Johnny's overpriced Nike's over 26 weeks at a silly APR.
#23
I won't be back for the next misprice. It wasn't a busting great deal cheaper than most other places. I can't speak for other bargain hunters, but I won't be back.

Darn!

Just bought something from amazon, delivered by HDN!

I didnt know they owned HDN, nor can you know who will deliver.

I can at least continue to boycott very, additionts littlewoods etc....
#26
What is all this talk of lining pockets? They are, with all the companies they own, and horrific APRs they charge, in trouble.

Substitute "at last" for "as ever", and you'll be there.

Saved hundreds of pounds with them. A few cancellations without an e mail is a small price to pay.

Read the news? Believe nothing of what you hear, and only half of what you see.

Neither. just laugh in his face. (Seriously)

Personally I agree with the notion that this company is closed and the people assisting with the theft lose their jobs and have their own misery.

BTW Have you checked your back statement? I'll wager even though they've cancelled the order, they've still taken money from your account in the hope you don't notice. Yes, I hope the people that assist in doing this go searching for another job.

Not necessarily. They often dont take anything, cancel the order, then take postal costs.

Out and out theft in my eyes. When they get caught, they just say "oh sorry, didn't mean it, have your money back." If you don't notice, they keep it. Imagine getting away with that one if you're the type to go out thieving! "Oh sorry, I didn't mean to help myself to your wallet. Have it back!"
