Would depend on what item was thrown on the pitch. Hopefully a scarf or a flag might stop the ball going in.:)

Team looks guff by any stretch of the imagination.
5 changes from the weekend.

Liverpool: Reina, Kelly, Insua, Agger, Carragher, Mascherano, Lucas, Gerrard, Kuyt, Benayoun, Ngog. Subs: Cavalieri, Voronin, Aurelio, Babel, Skrtel, Spearing, Plessis.

Martin Kelly (whoooooooooooooooooooooo) starts at full back cos Johnson is injured.

I really hope its not going to become some silly thing in a lot of games because of that incident. Can see some silly ban coming in.
#11

Scouse 0-1 Lyon (Lisandro)

1-2, c'mon le francais

Wish they'd give Babel a run instead of N'Gog.

Lucas is awful :viking:

Liverpool have to win as they've already lost 3 in a row and after today have Man Utd then Arsenal and will probably lose both of those, and 6 consecutive losses will leave Benitez very vulnerable.

I agree. Mr Arsenal Fan, tbh we have to win at home versus United to shut the critics up. Even then it will be a Gerrard Torres fest.
#17
I think liverpool will win by a late goal, possibly 2-1

Liverpool have a very tough run for the next few weeks as well, even after United and Arsenal away you have Fulham away then Lyon away. Not looking good tbh, imo Benitez is a poor manager incapable of bringing young players through and you'd probably be better off without him anyway, which is why I want you to beat United so that it takes the pressure off him for a little while and he keeps his job :p

My Sky is playing up...what was the final score with Liverpool, as it's not switching channels?

I can't believe AZ equalised deep into injury time against Arsenal
#29
Xabi Alonso, anyone ?

worst run for 22 years :w00t:

great goal though by lyon

I just don't understand why he didn't bring on an attacking player like Babel before they scored the equaliser when we were getting pressured.

At least one positive came from that game, the young Kelly looks a quality player.

Next season is your season then???

It would be a tragedy if Liverpool sacked Rafa.

Thats what I was thinking. I don't know whether Rafa was being stubborn or he genuinely believed he could win with the players he had on the pitch. Liverpool lacked ammunition and if it stays like this they have no chance to challenge the title.

Beginning to believe in the logic you were talking about before the season started.:-D

Don't know whats going to be worse riding this out and keeping Rafa or getting someone new.

i was surprised he brought Benayoun off at the end, he is always capable of doing something .
