lol so i went to pick up relatives at airport but they got held at customs so all in all we were there for about 4 hours

got back to pay my ticket and it was £52!!!!!!!

tried to say i lost the ticket but he goes ok standard exit fee £100!

while i was negotiating this i went back to machine and it went up another £5!!!

turns out its £5 every 15 mins LOL

even though £60 is what i pay for my haircut this is outrageous fees and i felt like roundhousing the guy but i stayed calm and thought happy thoughts

You pay £60 for a haircut!?
rip off.
#6
Which airport was this? You must have been in a very short term car park for it to be so expensive - I think Gatwick was about £5 an hour, maybe £7 max.
#7
It don't cost that much to park a Boeing on the airstrip.
#8
exactly my thoughts, hey has anyone ever tried to trick where u go and get a fresh ticket from the machine then use that to leave? LOL

Typical parking rip off, if eveyone parked just outside and walked in the car parks would cease to be viable and some poor rip off merchant would loose his job!

While were at it, car park charges in hospital car parks!, "yes your little johnny is seriously ill", "oops we need to charge you to park" what a bunch of greedy selfish money grabbing b*st*rds.

This is greed, total greed, they prey on peoples fears, hopes and dreams, they have no shame, and deep pockets.

Why do the government allow this practice, why??, we pay our dues in taxes to fund these organisations, why do we pay again? Because they know they can get away with it, thats why....

"Oh but sir, the money is being developed to allow better facilities", yes to buy bigger parking meters and paint more double yellow lines to stop free parking!

You should be ashamed

Yeah but they are only allowing you to park for a max of 4 hours, doesnt really help the people who work there doing 12 and a half hour shifts!

if you pay £60 for a haircut then you can easily afford this parking charge

My haircut: £7. Local barbers, does a cracking job.

And £60 for parking is ridiculous, as is paying that much for a haircut - I hope you're not a fella o.O My girlfriend pays about that much for hers, pfft.

I quite agree with you, but I think I heard something on the radio today that the government are going to stop hospitals charging for in-patient to park, plus their visitors. Didn't hear the whole story so that might not be strictly true, but sounds good if it is.

My parking was free after leaving the car overnight... I had an operation that day though so I'm not too sure if it counts for visiting or whatever lol...

Ask the nice people at reception :)

:w00t: You're putting ideas into m'head. lol!

Saying that, whenever I go to pick someone up, I always tell em to wait out side 'departures' so i just park in the free pit where you 'drop off' and mess abt in the boot making out as if someone has gone to get a trolley!

@ Heathrow..

too much police presence now.. but that don't stop me, no sir;-)

I bought a pair of clippers for £20, I've used them for years, clip my own hair all over and my sons and his grandads.

Average cost per hair cut = cost of electricity + a % of the original outlay and as I cut our hair once every 2 months x 3 people x 3 years of ownership its costing me pence!

Clippers are a parents best friend, keep the hair short, stop the bugs!

so u are saying £5 for 15 mins is a good price?

in a way they do, if u go to a hospital u dont park 3 streets away and walk it, u generally park inside thier car park
