i know someone who had their house robbed a couple of days ago, there were footprints in the snow going from the door they broke in to across a field to a garage where the police found the stolen items

no help lol

spend the time/money making your house secure rather than the things inside it, once they are in your house they will take anything even if it's "locked down"

get an LG 50" plasma. needs two people just to lift it up lol

Simpple bolts where needed, having a vunerable french patio doors and/or old wooden back door doesn't help, I know of robberies where that has been the weak point.

Overall you need to create not a paranoid sense in the house but to always keep checking, windows closed, everything locked etc etc.

Over three decades in London here, never been robbed as family upbringing always double checked everything, back door had two bolts on it etc.
