is this really the best time to spend £100m of public money on a pedestrian crossing with a few pot plants?

Investors & donors are coughing up some of the finances but it's mostly going to be taxpayer funded, I'm no fan of Sadiq but he's done the right thing by putting this ridiculous project under scrutiny.

whaddya reckon?

No, not really and when you walk down the south bank and see where it be positioned its entirely unnecessary in practical terms.

no actual need for an extra river crossing on this stretch

it's bound to go over budget like everything else does & the maintenance cost will turn out to be double the official estimate.

It's blatantly a white elephant & a few cronies will get quite rich in the process if it goes ahead.
I'm amazed the plans have got this far to be honest

When I were a lad we used to have to drink out of a rolled up newspaper.
We used to live one room, all 26 of us, no furniture, half the floor were missing, all huddled together in one corner for fear of falling...

Sorry op. I think this is great as it means even more places to cross the river.

The bridges are really congested in london so additional crossings are always welcome. More crossing east of london would also be welcome as currently there are tunnels. I prefer bridges over tunnels.
