So I put up an ad to sell my wii for £220 (which has an extra controller before you say thats priced too high ! :) ) and I got this email from a 'potential buyer'
Thanks for the mail,am so happy to hear from you while I have finalized issues with my partner now about the ( Nintendo wii )which £220. My Boss has just informed me that we are expecting a refund payment from a Motherless babies home, which we use to send for the motherless every month, so we have to refund the money to them.
Meanwhile, this refund payment which he is expecting, can only be made out in this one whole amount, that is the full amount that he paid before because the company policy only allows a refund and payment in one cheque, so he has to instruct for the cheque payment to be drawn toy ou. So he has informed me that payment will get to you in a cheque. He is expecting a refund payment of £3,000 when payment gets to you are required to deduct the cost of your Nintendo wii which is £220 and return the remaining balance of the cheque £2,740 through Western Union Money Transfer to the motherless babies home.
The company is willing to compesate you for the whole things for £40.Meanwhile we will needing the details below to send the payment to you.
MOBILE PHONE NUMBER & LANLINE:
Thanks and hope to hear from you.
Fortunately, it doesnt say "Yesterday" on my birth certificate so I thought rather than ignoring them, send them on a wild (and wicked) goose chase. This was my reply :-
Thanks for your e-mail.
That's fine. I will send you back the difference and the wii. Please send the cheque to :-
N. S'land Yrd
Also, can you send me your address so that I can package it up in the mean time.
For those of you who didnt notice, thats the address for Sir Ian Blair, the Head at Metropolitan Police. I didn't expect much to happen but this person seems really stupid. They have confirmed the full name and sent the cheque out.
Anything could happen from here ... but I won't be holding my breath :-) Good fun to kill off some time at work, anyhoo hehe :whistling::p
