i would recommend salou. really family frirendly, reasonably priced. we usually go in october and have paid £750 half board for 2 adults and 2 kids. that was flying from Bristol. i think we booked with first choice. we stayed at a couple of hotels, they all look the same. you can do some nice trips there, but dont book with the hotel, go into town and book with the locals. its much cheaper. we went to Barcelona and too the theme park.

As your son will be nearly two, make sure you don't pick half term week, maybe best to go at the beggining of June, straight after the schools half term , prices usually drop then:thumbsup:

Would like somewhere with a pool, but close to the beach, pref with kids entertainment

you do have to pay when two anyway...unless you get a free place and then the adult prices tend to be more

so be back before 18th:thumbsup:

Try here, I think Spain is great, I must admit I do go to Benidorm, but I like it because I know my way around, and know where not to go, but should be fine in May.

and also benidorn-hotel flamingo oasis-all inclusive
i have 3 kiddies aged 13,9 and 6 just perfect holliday for them
try the aspro or the portland direct brochures, they are normally a bit cheaper
hope this helps

Have they still got the casino there? Last time I went it was free food, free booze and free fags, best holiday ever!!

we went here for a week end of season: http://www.expedia.co.uk/pub/agent.dll/qscr=dspv/nojs=1/htid=891210

voted best hotel in resort on tripadvisor and they charge per room rather than per person, so less than £450 for a week all inclusive (plut 8% quidco)

then just try skyscanner.net for your flights, and resorthoppa for your trasnfers. We got everything for a week AI for a family of 3 for less than £700 - we'll deffinatly be going back, great entertainment for the kids and being spannish they cater well, its just 2 mins walk from resort shops and overlooks the beach.

must admit didnt look for a casino but i know there was a disco...although we never heard any noise-didnt see free cigs but dont smoke and tbh only saw one rep guy smoking as the turks seem to give them a wide berth now too, a small area inside had smokers dining, but all main areas smoke free.

It is beautiful and unique even down to the landing lights down the corridors and in the bars..all the little touches gave it the wow factor.

Try www.otbeach.com . Always seem to have good prices there.
For hotel reviews lots of sites to try www.holidaytruths.co.uk . www.tripadvisor.co.uk
You can look at these while checking out hotels that come up on otbeach.

Last year i went to can picafort (not far alcudia). In May and it rained for 4 days solid while everyone back at home had a mini heat wave!! It was our first family holiday my kids were 9 and 6 and stayed at the holiday village which was lovely. booked with first choice.
A lot of people have recommended costa brava or salou for families. your best bet is go to the travel agents and get a few quotes and details then compare them on the internet. my holiday would of been a lot cheaper had i booked it myself.

Another vote for Salou. There's a large waterpark nearby, a large themepark just out of town (Port Aventura), and a beautiful beach. Be careful though! The sand on the beach can get VERY hot, so stay near to the edge of the beach, & make sure the kids (& you!) wear beach shoes at all times.
