Looking for a new printer - Are Brother's any good?

Been looking over the weekend for a multi-function printer as my Canon has run out of ink and i'm fed up of being stung for replacement ink carts.
Epson seem to be mentioned alot on the deal pages, but i wondered if Brother are any better - the model i have found that suits my needs is the DCP-195C.

Any thoughts on comparing the 2 makes, reliability, aftercare support, replacement carts, etc?

I only use the printer occasionally for document scanning and printing.

Thanks

we've got a brother dcp340cw, run it on replacement injected ink usually, no complaints from me.

For a good source of Brother refillable ink carts, check Deal Extreme: http://s.dealextreme.com/search/brother
Can't see the 195 listed there, so you may want to check other printers or cart sources.

ok now for serious bit....

the brother printers (laser printers atleast) have a toner cartridge seperate to the OPC which makes ideal as you dont have to keep changing the entire unit. also, laser printers have the advantage of not drying up if not used for a long time unlike the inkjets. Oh and they last longer (1000-10000 prints)

I love my Brother printer, it's really good. I get my ink from eBay, the last lot has kept me supplied for a year and was only £12. It's not official ink, but I notice no difference.

I have 3 Brother printers, they are brilliant, far better than the Canon and HP I have had in the past.

dcp135c, had it about 18 months - absolutely great - scans well, copies are perfect and standard printing is really quick.

inks have cost me approx £5 per complete set - marvellous!!!
