basically im moving to australia for 7 months in 10 days and im looking for a phone i can take over there and put an australian sim card straight into. i have looking into using uk based networks over there but its just too costly. i also believe the phone has to be quadband aswell. will i be able to put an australian sim into a UK unlocked phone? also the camera has to be half decent too!

cheers

Australian GSM mobile standard is GSM 900/1800

This means you can basically use any phone available in the UK you do not need a quadband handset.

Yep, it's the US you need quadband for - a standard unlocked dual band handset will be fine as has been mentioned.
