i found an ad for yorkshire terriors which i will put link into next box and passed it onto my mum as she wants to get my gran a puppy neither of the contact numbers worked so my mum emailed asking about the puppies and she has just got an email back which i will also put in next box. Not going to touch it with a barge pole as seems quite obvious its a scam i just cant believe people! is there anything i should do ie reporting them just dont want some lonely vunurable trusting person to get conned by them

Thanks for the mail and your interest toward my lovely babies. They are male and
female,12weeks old. They are champion bloodline, registered, vet check, updated in all
shots.well tamed and potty trained, good associate of kids and other house hold pets also
simple to learn. To begin I will start asking you some questions.
-Are you a breeder?
-Do you have kids?
-Are use to puppies?
-Are you sure that you are going to take care of any of my babies?
-Gift me a Brief Description about your Environment?
-Do you have a vet doctor?
-Were Exactly are you located?
-Can I have your phone number to reach you?
As you have already seen in the ad, i am giving out them for adoption since they were
owned and taken care of by my late wife whom i lost to a drunk driver couple of weeks ago.
As a result, i have relocated to Scotland/Kirkwall due the mobile nature of my job and right
now i can't take proper care of the puppies which was a sole responsibility of my late wife.
They really do remind me of her sad memories all the time i look at them and hurts deeply.
So, my greatest desire is to find someone who can properly take care of the puppies and if
you can, i can arrange for delivery if you cannot come right up here for the pick. Delivery
am sure will be moderate since we spent just just too little bringing the puppies up here.
If this is ok by you, i will immediately need the following details in order to drop off the
puppies as soon as possible at the delivery agency so that delivery can be done to your
home soonest.
Full Names....................
Home Address..................
Postcode .....................
Mobile Numbers................
Land line Number...............
City..........................
County........................
Email Address..................

Be reminded that these puppies are for adoption and all you will have to do is to pay for
the delivery and adoption fee directly to the delivery agency which is £200 for a puppy and
£350 for both puppies if interested in both, you will be paying this fee directly to the
courier company before they will proceed with the delivery of the pupp to your home.My
prayer is that you love and care for these puppies just as my wife did and i will be always
grateful to you if you should.Do let me know or call me 07055137648 if all is fine .
Best Regards
God Bless

Hi Bellows. I think it would be better if you could just contact anyone who has a puppy for sale or adoption and go locally to visit the puppy at home and see the parents etc.

Best advice I can give (as I did the same thing 2 years ago) is AVOID the web completely. Got to place like [email protected] and read their notice board, its always full of local breaders and offers of puppies. Call a few up - even if they dont have what you want and ask if they know someone who does - its very much a word of mouth network and once you find the right person you will be put in touch with a proper KC registered breader who will look after you. 99% of the ones on websites are scams - it totally not worth your time and effort trawling thru them !

Hope that helps.

Good website is champdogs. In addition to this the Kennel Club keep a puppy register. Furthermore most breeds have a breed society, so google is your friend.

We travelled over 70 miles for our pup (different breed). Since then we've had pups. We sold one to someone 130 miles away and had queries from 400 miles away. So, I can say it is worth travelling for a good one as opposed to making do with local. That is if you're able to travel of course. Be prepared to ask the breeder pertinent questions, and expect a decent breeder to ask questions of you, before parting with one of their precious dogs

Finally a word of warning. A bargain may not necessarily end up being one in the end. Remember you could have the dog for 15 years, so the initial outlay will only form a very small fraction of the cost.

you will be paying this fee directly to the courier company before they will proceed with the delivery of the pupp to your home

More like:
You will be paying this fee to someone you will never hear from again...

AVOID!!!
