Looking to get a motorbike

Passed my driving test 2 years ago and i love driving my little 02 plate fiesta but i have always wanted a little bike to go on.

Im thinking of getting a motorbike but i like dirt bike ones not the super bike types.
Does anyone know a really cheap motorbike which is a dirt bike style?

Also, what type of mileage is average on a motorbike? I presume it should be much lower than a car.

Cheers

Just a few questions then to understand what you need the bike for.

Are you just going off road or do you want to go on road as well?

Have you ever ridden a motorbike?

If your just going off road then you don't need to do a test but if it was me I would get some training.
