It seems none of us can be reminded enough to note the following...

SUGGESTED GUIDELINES FOR BUYERS

(1) Check the traders HUKD trading feedback. Please read details posted here: HUKD FS/FT feedback

(2) Outside of this you can use the poster's eBay feedback to establish some kind of trust level. If you do so make sure you contact the user through eBay to make sure the account they state as theirs is indeed theirs.

(3) Use PayPal. We would recommend only buying from Verified PayPal Members. You can see this status on the second PayPal screen when you go to make a payment, you do not have to complete the payment to view this. PayPal is far from perfect but at least it gives you the chance of recourse if things go pear shaped.

(4) Receive and validate the following information:

Landline telephone number Make a CALL to check out the area code and number are correct too!

Name and address including postcode

Valid e-mail address.

Make a small payment to and from each other to validate the PayPal e-mail address.
*PayPal Advice:
If paying by PayPal's 'Gift' option to save on fees, you won't be able to raise a regular dispute with PayPal if a transaction goes wrong. For protection make a normal payment and pay the fees...

(5) If possible, collect and pay for items in person.

Caveat Emptor. Do NOT proceed with a deal until you are completely satisfied with all details being correct. It's in your best interest to check out these details yourself. Use your head, follow the guidelines, evaluate the risk and make your own decision.

Sucks that you'll get suspended for dealing by PM

I didnt deal by pm it was all on the thread, I agreed to have 8 vouchers and he asked on the thread for 50p each one, lots of ther people bought too - I think he said he had 16, I only checked by pm his pay pal address to pay:?

diva1977 was also on the thread as were a few others, and she asked if she could have some if there were anyleft after 'octobergirl' , after I had posted on my part of the thread asking how much he wanted, he replied in the thread just a donation and I thought it fair to offer a donation of 50 each voucher in a pm which is basically just postage for each one - I dont think I should be banned for something I did honestly I paid for something - I havent done anything wrong - he may have contacted DIVA 1977 by pm - I cant say about that but the only contact I had was for to arrange my donation (postage) /address/pay pal etc after I said I wanted them in the thread -
Anyway - I think its a bit early to say that he will not honour - I will wait and see, there has to be trust in this world otherwise what would become of us - and if he lets us down, then so be it and we lose, but to be honest he will be the loser.

but 50p for each amounts to selling. Doesnt cost him more or post 1 or 10. Plus i was satisfied to his explanation of where he got the vouchers. AS far as im aware vouchers for £3 off until febuary dont exist.

I too went to PM to donate , something that was suggested as optional on his thread.
I was told one for free and 50p each for rest, i challenged this and was told this what everyone else was paying.

I backed out as would of happily donated to charity but no way i pay more than 50p for p&p for a voucher i didnt think existed

I was going to buy cooking mama of him but he never did do a picture so I didn't send payment,

lucky escape hun.

Hindsight a wonderful thing , but ive never bought off here from anyone w/o good feedback.
So if you have been scammed im very sorry. But if you have great feedback perhaps 10 or more i would always ask in the future that the seller sends first if they have zero or low feedback.

If they say no they might be legit , but least it should make people take a step back and reconsider as with this new paypal gift i dont think you can get your money back as supposedly you sent someone a gift.

Hope no-one gifted anything more than a £10:oops:

Didn't becci148 buy CookingMama2 for £10 on another thread? Can't find it now though...

I got in touch with Rangers2009 to say I may be interested in that game (as I had seen him offer it to someone on a wanted thread)
He would have been happy for me to make an offer.
Once I found HIS for sale thread I found it had already been sold.
His explanation was "oh sorry i thought it was cooking mama u were after"
Should have been more suspicious at the time..

Yep, i've lost the £8 i sent for cooking mama 2 for my daughter now - i asked for her details, which she gave me - an email address, home address ( which exists) and an o2 mobile number which just goes straight to answer phone, it's a lesson learnt, id only buy from people on hukd that are known to me since i joined and have got good feedback. Just dont know how these people can sleep at night, obviously have no conscience whatsoever :x

I hope so. The OP didn't learn despite being scammed before.

Now he's suspended. When it rains it pours.
