Back in May I traded in items to the value of around £45. The very same day, I bought an XBOX 360 HDD which left around £20, for which a new voucher was issued. I hid the voucher somewhere so my little brother wouldnt nick it but the thgin i pretty stupidly forgot where I hid it. Would there be a chance I could take the receipt for the orginal £40ish trade in and use it to buy something for the value of £20 or even better if iwas cheeky, £40?

Also could two vouchers be used on the same purchase?

This is the worst thing with CEX, i lost a reciept that they gave me with a £33 trade in still on it, they made me use the card that they gave when i traded it in, yet they still say that you cant do anything because you lost it even though im pretty sure they have kept track of it on the card, they should just do what gamestation do and have a trade in card.

Yeah, the receipt says 'treat it as cash, if you lose it thats it' basically..

Try anyway.

On the other hand I do like the fact that CEX make no fuss about whom the vouchers where originally issued to, when I pay with other peoples vouchers or give mine to friends to use.

yeah, you're ******ed pretty much, only if you complain that much to HO you may get away with a re-issue. Good luck OP

They have started to ask for ID - checking names on any card buy-ins instore. May be a local uptight manager as things seem tight with cash trade-ins and targets.

As you say, must be the store policy/person. Never had a problem in any of the London stores before.
