I'm such a prat, I lost my wallet last night when out on the lash,

should I tell the police??

I've cancelled all cards etc and rang the club I was in and taxi I used to get home but no luck, think my chances of getting it back are 0. lol

*****************************

Just got a call and my wallet has been given in to "york tourist information centre"

how random is that????? i live near Chester, its over 2 hours away.

how it ended up there i'll never know!

they are going to post it to me, minus the cash inside of course!

do i need to ring the police and report that ive found it?

Yeah report it, some lovely person might hand it in, you never know!

My son handed in a wallet he found, complete with credit cards and cash.
Owner never even said thank you!
#3
so you must have had it in the taxi if you paid him, he's probably got it

Yep as someone said above phone the taxi people and offer a reward, happen to my other half there a few weeks ago when he lost his phone in the taxi, and only got it back after a reward was offered!

just rang the police and reported it,

didnt know that in Wales there is a non-emergency number 101 to report incidents like that.

i got home and when i looked for money to pay the taxi i couldnt find my wallet, but i paid for food from a takeaway so im guessing its in the takeaway.

any case i dont think i have a chance of getting it back :-(

its just gutting that for two weeks I'll have no cards or anything.

Yea, you should phone the police just in case, where I work we are always getting mobile phones/wallets handed in or finding them down the sofas! it's surprising at the amount of people who don't bother to collect there items or even realize they have lost them! :w00t:

Might be worth trying to remember what pubs / clubs you went to.

When I worked in a pub things were handed in all the time.

I handed in a lost wallet to the police and got a call the next day to say the guy had left me a £20 reward. I was so chuffed to bits. Then I found out he had a winning lottery ticket in the wallet - big win too!

I once dropped my wallet but didn't realise until a week or so later when all my credit and debit cards were sent back to me (By the bank) because some f***** had been tapping random numbers in the cash point and the cards got swallowed! That was before cash machines had cameras in...
