It's not a bad game but it has many frustrating aspects which eventually put me off the game entirely. The main problem is the controls which are in general vague which makes the game tricky as it does require a lot of precise movement and targetting. The context sensitive button has been badly designed as the wrong functions have been grouped together which means your character ends up doing something you really didn't want.

For example when fighting a flying boss in a mech I was mainly using a missile launcher and gattling cannon, the former to slam the boss when possible and the gattling cannon just to constantly try and suppress him. When the gattling cannon ran out I ran over to pick another one up but just as I was about to press the button to load the gun up, the ground shook due to a bomb hitting causing my mech to slide slightly away from the cannon reload. This meant when I pressed the reload button I was instead ejected out of my mech into a very hostile environment which normally killed me pretty quickly. Desperately trying to get back to my mech I hit the button to hop back into the cockpit but due to it not lining up properly the context has changed which means my character started hitting his own mech with the butt of his weapon. And then died. Again.

On one of the later levels I was fighting a particular cheap boss when I died and instead of restarting the boss fight it put me back to the start of the previous level. At that point I decided I couldn't be bothered with the game anymore.

Given how cheap the game is, it's worth picking up and playing for a bit as some of the game is quite enjoyable but on the whole it's got some very rough areas which ultimately ruined the game for me.

I have to admit I'm seriously thinking of giving it a blast when I get home... :S

I really enjoyed the demo of it and there are some solid aspects which is I guess why I find the game so frustrating at times.
