I think my postie has swiped one of my lovefilm disks (was a PS3 game, and my postman has been known to swipe stuff; a £20 voucher went missing another time aswell)
but anyway I informed lovefilm that the disk is missing they said they will send out a replacement but i need to fill out a form from royal mail thats coming a week before my free trial ends, just wondering if i send back the form and I cancel my account will they try and charge me £25 for the missing disk?

they shouldn't do, the form you will recieve asks you to sign and confirm you haven't recieved the item then royal mail will pay compensation to lovefilm for the disc. If you don't sign and return it then they can charge you so get proof of posting when you return the form.

Funny you should be posting this, as its just happened to me as well.

My last 3 month trial, 3 films that were sent back dissapeared during the postal strike and I was supposed to be getting this form, but never did. I enquired a few weeks later and the films did in fact arrive - but they failed to inform me! So no losses in the end.

I am now on my second trial. Films that were sent back to them, took 3 days to arrive - and they eventually sent out replacements last Saturday. Unfortunately, they havent arrived. I informed them today (as you have to leave it before you can do so) and they have sent me the "form" email and also another to tell me replacements are on the way. Trouble is, at the address we live, we have constantly been receiving wrong mail and ours not arriving. Today and yesterday, we had mail for the same house number, but wrong road (doesnt sound remotely like ours!) Been like it for 14 years! In fact, todays mail arrived after 6 PM !!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I am absolutely sure the postman has either mis delivered or helped themselves.

Despite numerous complaints, it improves for a short while, but then goes back to poor service. I will be going through to their head office complaints department once again on Monday.

In the meantime, I am on a 2 disc option that includes games. Been a month into this and have yet to get ANY game sent. Seems a con - even if it is free! Seems pointless taking a disc hit (instead of 3 DVDs) and get no games!

That sounds exactly like what my area is like! I think its just like this everywhere. There are similiar named streets here. I like in Calside, but I get some womans mail in Calside AVENUE. We complained many times to the Royal Mail, so they sent us a letter saying they are sorry and try to improve in the future, but guess what? It got sent to the womans house!! Its a shambles.
I have got all my previous PS3 games, it seems to be only this one, I honestly thinks that the Postman has pocketed it. He seems like a random person plucked from the streets to do these rounds. I have often caught him laying by the side of the road smoking a fag and looking through his bag of mail. I usually don't get my mail until after lunch time (1-2pm) which is shocking!! I'd expect my mail to come at 9am at the latest. What kind of people are the Royal Mail employing. Well hopefully I do get this form because I don't fancy spending £25 on something someone has nicked!

That is shocking!! Did you ever get ur stuff back?
I know when I got my £20 missing, the Royal Mail gave me £85 back. I think big companies should keep packaging plain, it would keep theifs at bay.

reminds me of the little old lady who was pretty broke, so she send a letter addressed to God asking if he could find his way of getting her £100. When the letter arrived at the sorting office, the postie noticed it and not knowing where to deliver it, opened and read it. His heart was touched so he decided to have a whip-round all his colleagues and managed to get her £95.
He stuck it in an envelope and annonymously posted it back to the little old lady.
About a week later, he was in the sorting office and another letter came in, addressed to God again. It read....

Thanks God for the money, it came in really useful, I just thought I'd write and let you know that I never got the full £100, only £95, it was probably those theiving B*s**rds down in the post office.

I always try to get a certificate of posting each time. I don't know why Lovefilm changed the plain envelopes to those with movie posters all over them. I always feel that they think I have stolen the film, especially when it is a new / top title.
