Lucca version 2 satnav 99p @ highwaytoheaven.co.uk

I saw the deal on this yeaterday and quickly snapped one up. Now it appears to be no where on HUKD site. Highwaytoheaven.co.uk now have a statement on their site saying that they did have a price mistake on this satnav unit and all orders would be refunded.
If they have taken money etc. Surely they need to go through with the transaction and post it?

Be gentle with the OP for goodness sake, lol, we were all there once :)

Jimmytest the short answer will almost certainly be they will not honour it and buried somewhere in their terms and conditions will be the reasons why they don't have to honour the price.

They will be legally covered unless by chance they are a bunch of total wallies and even then you would not see the item for 99p.

Best to just move on mate :)

They either mis-priced it to get some publicity, or by accident. They lied by saying they stopped trading 4 months ago .... strangely the websites up and trading AGAIN today :?

Statement from there site:
Notification of price error. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Dear Customer,

This notice is to inform all customers that regretfully, the £0.99 price displayed for a Lucca portable navigation system was incorrect.
We would like to offer a very sincere apology for the error and inconvenience this has caused.

We are now in the process of issuing full refunds to each and every customer who has placed an order on the site within the last 7 days.
The refund will be issued directly to the card with which payment was originally made.

Once again, please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused by this error.

Kind regards,
HighwaytoHeaven

Yeah I understand all of that. I have been using this site for years. Just dont post much. I know that the price is an offer of contract but I thought however that once they had taken payment, they had to honour it. If it had been in a shop, they probably wouldnt have had a choice. I had guessed that there would be something in the t & c's But I did wonder why the post had disappeared off this site completely.

It was posted up then removed by the Mods 3 times yesterday as they felt it was a scam to get credit card numbers etc:

edi
The deal was moved suspecting the legitimacy of the site which is owned by a private individual.

If its a scam, all they want is your card details and not the 99p punt :)

We will get our money back so no big deal, it's naive to think they would honour the 4000+ orders at 99p !!

Ah I was looking for a thread like that. It wasnt being naive. I only took a punt like everyone else did. sometimes these deals do get honoured. Its done now anyway. queston answered.
Thanks

it was worth a try lol

I was actually typing my next post when the thread vanished for obvious reason. everybody had the doubt that the website was scam but since the payment site was ok, there wasn't any problem other than at most possibility of loosing 99p.

Recieved there email about cancellation.

In actual fact their T&C's are rubbish but that doesn't get round the fact that it's not going to get honoured and would be foolhardy to even want to persue it IMO.

Out of interest this company are Ebay sellers for those like myself who weren't aware of it .

As well as running our online shop we also operate an eBay store, with a feedback score of over 14,500.

The other statement was on their website (alledgedly not trading since 4 months ago !! :whistling:), Just checked E mails and I got the same as yours above.

Protx WERE very aware of this as I emailed yesterday when the highwaytoheaven.co.uk website disappeared to 'suggest' they watch the 'possible fraudulant' transactions paid to a company that doesn't exist - as highwaytoheaven.co.uk themselves stated and trade under another name. Protox held the money back me thinks ???

Worth a punt for 99p though - win some loose some ;-)
