Lumbar Lordosis... And Back Pain???

Does anyone have this condition & suffer from severe back pain? Is there anything you suggest I can do? - I am booked in to see the Doctor again tomorrow, and will be having another session of physio in the afternoon - hopefully I can get some long term treatment, rather than dosing myself up with painkillers every so often!

Do the NHS provide back braces (the one with the metal inserts)? I'm completely suffering (only 27yrs old). Going to see if I can purchase a back brace today to help with the pain, but wanted to know if they could also be supplied on NHS?

Have Googled it, but cannot find much :(

Let me know what the doc says, he may just ask you to do some back stretching exercises. I have back pains but being a man i just leave it till its unbearable. intrested to see what the quack has to say.

If it has been comfirmed that you have true lordosis, you may be offered surgery

dont do anything until you have seen your GP at least, have you had an MRI scan? are you under the care of an orthopaedic specialist?
how long have you had this?
ive had spinal problems since i was 13 years old im almost 41 now , if its not taken care of properly then in years to come it will get much worse hun

Just remembered, if you do need a back brace the NHS will supply one once you have tried other treatments like physio

I had it bad many years ago and the only treatment that worked for me was traction a couple of times a week. I still get pains from time to time but not as bad. Perhaps you need to look into your lifestyle e.g. the job you do, do you drive a lot etc? Decent chairs and appropriate exercise can help.

I remember Ryan Giggs chopped in his Aston Martin as that was causing him back probs. I'm guessing you don't drive one of those but maybe your car is the issue. I have a padded seat cover that I got from Halfords which is a great help.

Thank you, I have been given some back exercises to do - they are will be sending me for an xray if I continue to get pains so they can tell how curved my spine is at the bottom. They advised a back brace can sometimes make matters worse, so have given me yet more painkillers and physio. I might need to invest in a good back support pillow for when I'm driving and at work.
