Hi guy`s n gal`s

Maybe this is in the wrong section. not sure ,But for all you Risk takers out there,I have been given a Very strong wisper that a certain horse will be good to go at windsor tonite.

The horse in question is Artic Mirage in the 19.10 at windsor , and is expected to win.
I was given seventh hill from the same yard a few weeks back and that skated home at 5-2. this should be a bigger price ,but for how long is anyones guess.
I have very high hopes here... so ......... LUMP ON .and fill ya boots .

Good luck everyone.

Is the race fixed?

It's more manipulated than fixed.

How so? How does it work? Completely clueless on the world of horse racing.

They deliberately hold horses back in consecutive races to lower their odds. get hem to their optimum fitness and then wipe away the rest of the field at a fairly good return.

Oldest trick in the book.

whats the diff putting on eah way and just normal??

Normal, you win if they finish 1st.

Each way you get all if they finish 1st, 1/2 if they finish 2nd and a 1/4 if they finish third. Each way costs double the amount.

Sorry to sound thick but haven't got a clue, never gambled in my life apart from the odd lottery ticket lol.

If I were to place a £10 bet on this horse and it won what would I get back?
#9
Each way bet is 2 bets,a win part and a place part,if the horse wins you get the win part and the place part at 1/4 or 1/5 of the odds,if it places then you only get the place part at the odds mentioned earlier,it does not matter if they are 2nd,3rd and in some cases 4th,it will be 1/4 or 1/5 the odds.
#10
If you backed it to win at say 8-1 and placed £10 on it you would get £80 plus your stake back so returns would be £90,if it wins.
#11
Hi guy`s The source of the info is very solid and I would advice to take the price as this is gonna tumble alot shorter ..... Make sure you take the price now before it`s too late e/w backers.
Good luck everyone...and ........ PLEASE only place a bet if you can afford it.
#12
Say its 4/1

£10 each way = £10 on it to win @ 4/1 and £10 on it to finish in the top 3 at quarter of the odds = evens.

If it wins you get £10 at 4/1 + £10 at evens = £70 return.
If it comes second you just get evens so £20 return.

The number of horses in the field can affect the number of places paid (top 3 or 4) and the odds returned for the place (1/4 or 1/5th)

7-1 Ladbrokes, put one of my free bets on it. £35 return would be nice.

Betfair is walways the best to use.

Best odds usually. I got 17/2 for this horse to win. Surprised if it does though.

I have got 8-1 at Coral , each way though so should be interesting
#17
I've seen 'tips' before on this forum, and they ALWAYS lose!

However i've had a little go on it each-way anyway, as i like a flutter every now and again!!

8/1 i got :)

Ignore my earlier comment about manipulation as this is only it's second race.

Came 6 out of 14 in it's first one.

One of the favourite tricks they do is to get a load of horse costumes then put two men in them (front and back), and one genuine horse which will usually win. You can only tell if you get close enough as the fur looks fake and the eyes don't follow you. The race can look pretty close as two people running in unison can get a good speed going. The fact that jockeys weigh as much as a tin of Spam also helps. Officials are starting to cotton on though.

Best starting price maybe?

this horse is the 3rd highest rated horse in the race (using a paid for ratings system i follow) which has With Hindsight as the top rated.
#26
if i place £14 each way what would i get back? do you get something as long as they come top 3?

or is it best to put £28 to win?

can i bet on two horses in the same race? how does that work?

If it came 3rd you would get odds of around 2/1 i think...so win back money I THINK?

£154 back on the each way bet assuming you take 8/1
£42 back if it comes 2nd or 3rd.
#29
Just put 20 on, worth a go! Had a tip for ascot last week which came in :)
#30
Wonder how many people will come back moaning if the Horse doesn't come anywhere?
#31
thanks! put my life savings on it, hope it comes in
#32
Just used a £5 free bet to win.. fingers crossed

£42 back if it comes 2nd or 3rd.

Edit....

I've just noticed this isn't a handicap race so if it comes each-way the odds will be 1/5.
So on 8/1 you would get less than 2/1 for a place.
So, more like £35 for 2nd or 3rd on the above bet :x

Thats a bit crap!

listen guys my advice (this aint bad mouthing you op) but it dont take much money on a '' higher '' priced horse for it to lower to a level where a layer (those who back horses to lose) would be the winners and there so called inside tip shortened the odds so they was able to lay the horse at nicer odds and make a killing.

Ive got to be honest ,ive just shown my husband this thread (as he likes a little flutter!) and he said the same ! But he maybe wrong , i suppose its what its all about at the end of the day ' gambling'

Assuming the op uses betfair as a lot of other sites dont offer the option to lay.

or betdaq or wbx or even trading sites/bots trust me mate i see it alot, i dont mind eitherway if it wins your all quids in but its a word of warning from someone who no's people who make a living from betting/trading etc

I am surprised it wasn't banned for self promotion as their is nothing to say OP isn't a bookie as you mentioned.

I know what you're saying but most users on here will use the regular Will Hill, Ladbrokes, Bet365 etc

Not many people use Betfair although they should and never heard of the other 2. The horses odds have gone up since I placed only £2 so the OP is not doing a good job if this is the case.

Best to but money on certainties, like Fabio being sacked on Wednesday.

Have got a fair bit on Capaill Liath and a wee cover bet on With Hindsight
