MAD! Awful I want one of those Customer Service!!

I made an order on the 16th as it stated on the website in huge writing that all Christmas orders were being upgraded to next day delivery. I only ordered from after seeing this advertised. I received an email confirming dispatch and noticed it said on the email that delivery would be up to 5 days. As I had only ordered as it was next day delivery I called and questioned this. I was told that ‘yes, it has been sent next day delivery however we have not had time to update the automatic emails’.

As my order has not arrived I called again today to be told that ‘it’s in the small print that they can't guarantee that items will be sent next day delivery’. Absolutely shocking. Why advertise something that you are not actually doing! I asked the member of staff if he thought this was misleading and he agreed that it was ‘very misleading’. Their own staff agree that this is bad practice.

I totally understand that there are problems with weather and obviously it’s very busy due to Christmas, however I have zero understanding that they are allowed to advertise something they are not actually doing!

Rant over! Now I need to go buy about 7 christmas presents in my lunch hour arghhh!!

There own staff didn't really mean that it was bad practice. They just wanted rid of you in the fastest time possible.

He probably did a high five with the rep next to him when you hung up.

Your probably right...he did actually use the phrase 'bad practice' tho...slightly stupid if you work for the company no?

It's Royal Mail that are no longer offering next day delivery for the moment, so why blame the company you bought from? Try looking out of the window or on the news. I'm still waiting 2 weeks for stuff, maybe if I cry enough the snow will dissapear.

Not just you, I paid for NExt Day Courier delivery service with Ebuyer.com and it has been 4 days nothing.

Even RoyalMail suspended the Next Day guaranteed as well

It's being sent by courier not royal mail. The company i bought it from said that they were upgrading to next day delivery service. They never did that, all theyre orders are being sent standard delivery even though that is not what they advertised. I ordered other things at the start of December, they have also not arrived, however they did not promise next day delivery.

Because they were the ones who had a banner on the site saying it would be next day delivery.
It's a shame the snow hit so quickly instead of say 3-4 weeks ago causing delays so companies could remove these 'guarantees'

Mine was supposed to be delivered last Tuesday - half arrived Saturday (the not important half obviously) and the important half still isn't out for delivery. City Link have wisely closed the collection point so you can go and get it either, top marks to them.

Yeah Collin, I have had problems when trying to collect from the depot, there were 3 staff in the premises, and they said they don't have the authority to open the safe to get the items.

I can't get through to their CS either, so I gave up.
