I think you're getting a bit carried away...

He has just got to a Champions League final, won the league, the Carling Cup, Charity Shield and the Club World Cup as well as getting to the FA Cup Semi final.

Yeah you can't beat a bit of banter but I don't think the OP really understands football...

If you wasn't calling it micky mouse then you've just completely ignored their biggest achievement to suit your argument.

United couldnt handle the midfield of Xavi and Iniesta today, those lads are different class!! We needed 3 centre midfielders to combat those 2 if we were to have a chance, something like Carrick/Fletcher/Hargreaves to give a bit of steel in there. Didnt work for us tonight and the best team on the night won.
I do lol @ the bitter liverpool fans getting themselves worked up over a United loss, though i suppose id be bitter if i hadnt won the league for over 20 years :)

so where were you in 70's n 80' how many years did you go

should l'pool win the league next year (swine flew . .), you'll be trailing again ;-)

Barca should retain this next year, and within a decade.they could surpass madrid. they're a different breed

Barca are without doubt a great team, but over two legs they are a different proposition. On a one off game where its all about a win like tonight they are in their element. Play them over two legs, as United showed last year when they beat them, and Chelsea did this year when they all but beat them they are far more beatable proposition.

barca made it to final winning over 2 legs so your arguement doesnt stand up
#24
last year scholes strike won it. very similar to iniesta

as for chelsea, they er ' park ze bus (the one wiz ze roof . .

I think ull find they drew 2 games, and were v lucky to have the worst refereeing display of the season on their side otherwise they would not have even made the final. They had much the same side last year (Xavi,Iniesta,Messi,Henry), who United managed to beat over two legs ( 1 win, 1 draw). I am taking nothing away from their victory because tonight their 2 centre midfields were different class and totally deserved to win the game. But i think my argument of them being an easier proposition over 2 legs still stands.

Mmm-I just fail to understand why anyone would be happy about a BRITISH club losing-Im all for supporting your own team when they are actually in the competition but then surely you support the team representing your country dont you?

I would have cheered on chelsea, liverpool, arsenal, whoever was representing my country tonight.

probably terribly naive on my part but then I have a season ticket at easter road so what do I know?

Can't stand United and her fans BUT....the game today changed with the break away goal by Barca. For the first ten mins they were outplayed by United and they had already had numerous chances to score.

The first goal in a tense final is crucial (anyone see the play off finals this year?)

Is there anything funnier than a stereotypical Liverpool fan stuck in his 20th century time warp, harping on about football 40 years ago when they used to win things??

Who cares mate? lol
Get over it, your team these days are nothing more than a bunch of also-rans.

If you get some enjoyment from watching Man U lose in a final after they've already bagged 4 trophies in one season, (and incidentally kept rafas clowns from their first title in 20 years) then you go nuts mate!!
