First of all, this is serious business. Any hurtful comments, such as "you should try exercising more" will leave me scarred for life. Please, think before you post and talk to me with respect.

I'm a lazy *******. I'm not overweight, I'm actually the right weight for someone my size, but my mini manboobies are starting to annoy me. I suppose I could try looking at them in a different way - No need for female boobies if they grow big enough in the future; they would quite literally always be around me whenever I felt lonely.

.... Anyway! Outside of doing my 2 consecutive push-ups, are there any exercises that can make reduce my mini manboobies?

Someone asked this in Men's Health magazine a couple of months ago. Their response was you need to do more cardio vascular exercise.

And incidentally you were contradicting yourself. You started by saying that you don't want to be told to do more exercise and then you ask what exercise you should be doing.

If you took the first part as serious, you really are simple minded. I'll let you attempt to figure out where I was and wasn't serious. :thumbsup:

...on second thought, I best put this as simple as possible to avoid another easily confused person making a stupid comment: What's the best known exercise for removing fat from the chest area?

cardio is probably your best bet, and change yoru diet (i know you said your not over weight) but this could help. give it 6 months and see how you get on. But like JDeal has said it could be hormonal issues. If after 6 months you see no change, pop to the docs and see what they have to say :thumbsup:

you really do need to do some cardio work, the best is short bursts of maximum effort followed by little recovery time, so say if you go for a run, do 1 minute full speed 1 min jog.

If you get your ass into a gym you could do 10 mins on a rower 15 secs full effort 45 secs recovery. things like that help a lot.

Trying to do too much too soon could lead to injury though.

Good advice otherwise.

I was going to also suggest taking up running but apparently he's too much of a lazy ******

Apparently, all men go through phases of manboobs, i'm sure it will pass soon and you won't be troubled as much.

You could try and set yourself daily targets of push ups or sit ups, increasing by one or 2 more each day.

Other thing would be to ask a doctor if it gets really bad.

One thing - weight training for pecs etc is probably a bad idea - chances are you will build up the muscle underneath and possibly make them appear bigger.

No ones mentioned it, but how's your posture - personal question perhaps, but some people sit and walk a little slumped over - and can make it worse than when u stand upright

Yup thats one common cause.

It can also be a hormone imbalance.

If your the right weight for your height, Its probably not lack exercise.

If you can afford it, join a gym and have words with one of the trainers there. They will set you up a specific program.

I know gyms can be expensive but well worth it in my opinion. I get my moneys worth by going each day and if you're lucky it will have a pool as well which is excellent cardio excercise.

It's probably the case that you need to increase your aerobic exercise, drinking water (not juice or an equivelant) will help flush toxins from your body and will reduce any water retention you may be suffering from.

Excluding Gregory, thanks to everyone who's posted so far. :thumbsup:

I've come up with a brilliant fitness program - Why doesn't Gregory meet me around my house and allow me to chase him with a baseball bat? That should give me the motivation needed to keep running.

Whoever asked about if I slouch or not: I slouch. Need to join the army to get in the hang of standing with my bag straight, spent too much time leaning over my computer.

I was 11 stone the last time I weighed myself. Need to remember my height to re-check the correct weight for my height, never could remember numbers to well...6'2"?

My tummy does have a little too much hanging. Not that bad, it could just use some work. I'm much more concerned about my chest being pointy when I wear tight tops! >_<

Since you sound like you're talking from experience, would you happen to have any before and after boob images (for research purposes) of your own to share? :oops:

To answer your question: Drink and me no mix too well. My current anti-depressants increase the effect booze has on my system - I'll always remember laughing like an idiot after half a can around my mates house not long after switching to my current anti-depressants, passing out on my bed as soon as I got home. :giggle:

...actually, think I changed my anti-depressants since I restricted drinking to the odd pint here and there. Could still have the same "moobies" effect.

tamoxifen or nolvadex into google

it is an anti-e, popular with bodybuilders coming off a steroid cycle who which to minimise the risks of gynecomastia.

it is a prescription based drug, however you can buy it from online pharmacies abroad and they post it to you.

it is also used to help reduce manboobs which have already developed.

there are also drugs like arimidex but generic tamoxifen is the cheapest option, you should be able to pick up splint packs of 10 x 20mg for £3.50.

go to your doctor if you are THAT worried about it, the doctor will take basic testosterone level checks and may well prescribe an anti eastrogen for you although it is doubtful, they will mostly tell you to drink more water, excersise more and eat more healthy while cutting out drink.

Ok now on the serious side. I know what your talking about and in reality all it is, is probly a little fat but the muscle has went "loose" so that it just falls to a heap (not littery). Anyway to tone it/tighten it up, im guessing that's all you want to do?

If you went to the gym you could do pec flys, gives the movement of either lieing flat on the bench or incline'd and doing it. Case of having a suitable dumbell in each hand and slowly releasing your arms out so that it will pull. Heres an example, using youtube:

I bodybuild and there are a lot of people who do it wrong, in this case ^ hes doing it the correct way. A lot of people do it with arms straight out. Always keep that bend in your elbows when going down. Tough exercise but does it's job.

There are other ones you can do but you want fast results and doing this regularly will give you the results. I wouldn't keep increasing weight though, find a comfortable weight, if you increase the weight then you end up building bigger muscle onto your pecs which in your case you aren't after that. Also if your doing it at home you do need a proper bench as using something that looks like a bench won't cut it as you need the flexability under the triceps and shoulder.

Cardio exercise will help but you claim your lazy so I don't think that will last. you say you aren't fat either.

Also meant to add that using the bench press a lot builds your chest muscle so it sort of hides moobs.

Well unless your getting into body building I'd watch a little. These are body building exercises and are for building a big chest. :thumbsup:

...ok, I'll shoot straight: I don't want to walk around these muscular guys doing their thing when I'm worried about mini-boobs. You can hardly see 'em, it's just a huge knock my male pride being put in that situation when I'm out of shape. I'd prefer to sort my slight fitness problemo out at home.
