OK, it's no secret I'm a BIG Man City fan; blue blood n all that
The root of any problem at City is here IMO, this bloke; he hates City but yet he is our CEO
Madness!!!!!!!!!
The bit about Uwe Rosler is 101% true also, I was there when he did it. Well, if that aint a sackable offence, I don't know what is.
Anyway, have a read of this and thanks to paul_doh for the link (in post below)

united fan in peace, these tickled me:

One of Cook's first tasks with his new club was to find a new manager after Sven Goran-Eriksson had been dismissed; he targeted Herbert Chapman of 1930's Arsenal. After finding out that he'd been dead for 74 years, he reluctantly settled on Mark Hughes of Blackburn Rovers

Cook's new task was player recruitment,[2] and he did deals for Tal Ben-Haim, Jo, Vincent Kompany, Pablo Zabaleta and Shaun Wright-Phillips but failed in a bid for Roy Race, who doesn't actually exist.

its clearly because city suck Andy ;-) lol

I keep rereading it and wetting myself every time. I think my fave quotes are: -

Cook is married tp Girls Aloud and is a keen player of Golf amongst where he regularly competes against Adolf Hitler, Bananaman and Richard Blackwood. Garry invented the colour yellow.

and
After the 2009 January transfer window opened Cook sealed deals for Wayne Bridge, Craig Bellamy, Shay Given and Nigel de Jong. However, he failed in a world record bid to bring Pele to the club, blaming the breakdown in negotiations on Santos, stating, "If you want my personal opinion they bottled it, He clearly was for sale but we never got to meet with the player, the behaviour of Santos got in the way." Santos replied by pointing out that Pele retired from football more than thiry years ago.

Thing is; the latter I can actually believe; the guy is a complete disaster IMO and he makes my skin crawl whenever I see him at Eastlands of on Sky Sports News splurting out his latest load of old soundbyte ****** retented self importance

Lets travel back a few years when both Chelsea and City were in the second tier and we were attracting 23,00 to 30,000 fans per week and Chelsea were pulling in a whopping 16,000 on average per week. Guess that makes you a Small club, big money, glory seeking part time fair weather supporters LINK Football didn't begin when Abramovich bought Chelsea you know; it goes back a lot longer than that

Give this guy a beer  (didn't rise to the bait)

Football isn't about, my team is better than yours. It's about enjoying the passion that the game brings.

Money has wrecked football, more people should support their local team rather than the "top" team. There is nothing better than seeing your team go from the bottom league all the way to the top, being in a stadium full of likeminded people on a cold january weekend

haha me an armchair fan..mate i have a season ticket..went to moscow in 08, rome in 09 and will be going to the bernabeau next year once united reach the final.

Btw who did city get in the champions league draw again. Plus you cant even lure a player to that thing you call a stadium with a £100m bid and £250,000 a week wages. Plus, where was all the talk from you "fans" when city had no money. Hmm yh and im the fake fan.

PS: Michael Owen 96th Minute :w00t:
#26
Oh go away, United only did so well as they became a plc and literally sold the sold the club, now thats why you've got the Glazers as they took advantage of that.

I couldn't care about either club, I support West Ham through thick and thin, they are my local club, season ticket holder for the last six years.

That's more than a 'few' years ago. I'd consider a 'few' years ago to be that period when Man City got relegated down to the third tier of English football.

I'm fairly sure Chelsea were in Europe during that period (pre-Abramovich) and quite high in the Premiership:whistling:

But I'm sure the Chelsea fan didn't mean to say anything except for thank you - for proving that it takes more than money to be a top team, and for finding someone more pathetic in football than Peter Kenyon.

I mean seriously, wasn't there a work experience lad who could've made a fist at that press conference? It was actually worse than the Robinho one where he couldn't remember which team he was signing for:-D

Yeah - was a few years ago - but a flash in the pan chairman doesn't make a club a "BIG" club - that was my point. There are two BIG clubs in England - Man U and Liverpool - history. Teams like Chelsea; Arsenal; Man City; Spurs; Villa are decent sized clubs with a decent history but don't come come close in stature in the world wide football picture to L'pool and Man U. In 20 years Chelsea; Arsenal; Man City; Spurs; Villa could be nobodies but in 20 years Man U and L'pool will still be massive worldwide. That's what makes a big club. I hate to say it but its true. I hope that City can break that eventually but it's built over lifetimes not a few seasons.
