5-1 to City, tore them to pieces, lovely goal by Johnson, nice header by Santa Cruz, Tevez bang one in, Lescott with a nice header and Superman scored the first with a sweet shot.

Happy days !

It's only Scunthorpe to be fair. Liverpool lost again. But looked better tonight.

They did nothing tbh but their goal was nicely done, after that they barely touched the ball. Some really nice football at times, Sylvinho got his first start and had an excellent game and Weiss came on and was really good, set up Tevezs goal with a super cross, gave Santa Cruz another which he messed up gthen weiss and missed an absolute sitter. Should have scored. Santa got man of the match but for me it should have been sylvinho or Ireland

To be fair no. Arsenal two goals, were bad Liverpool passes giving posession away. 1st one was a cracking goal, but tbh two players were shocking and one not far behind. Plesis, Voronin and - Babel.

This - and City conceded a sloppy goal.

Lescott, Kompany, De Jong and Barry playing too:whistling:

He spent most of his time on the right. Degen played well. It could of easily been a different game, liverpool missed so many chances.

Yes, but they scored five flower, some people ........
#22
Should of seen Insua's goal is easily the best goal in the competition if not the best goal this season so far.

I think you missed the point I was making. I wasn't disputing the amount of goals Man City scored, or the fact they won.

I was pointing out that a team containing those defensive players, as well as Shay Given, shouldn't be opened up so easily at the back.

You see how that point hasn't got much to do with what you said.

Hope you understood it easier this time:thumbsup:

I fully understood but I dont really think the opinion of an armchair rag is of much consequence, I saw the goal as I was there and it was a classic counterattack, such as happens in a lot of games.

Oh and City were missing Richards, Bridge and Toure, first team defenders and gave a debut to Sylvinho, but I guess you already know that

So because I wasn't at the game, I can't have an opinion:?

Amazingly, in the last few years we've started sending small groups of men to football matches with "cameras" (imagine you seeing something, but then this 'magic box' takes that image and sends it to another 'magic box' called a television).

Anyway, it's very complicated, but let's work on the assumption that I saw the goal:thumbsup:

That's generally a good thing isn't it? Working becomes so tiresome after a while so why not do other things?

How strange:?

Plessis looked like the Sissoko of old (i.e. before he learned how to pass the ball). Voronin was okay imo... the ideas were there, but didn't really come off (he was trying, at least). Degen looked good, but was trying to do too much sometimes. Spearing was anonymous and Skrtle had a poor game too. You'll hate me for saying this Ad, but I think Lucas would have mad a big difference to us tonight :)

Saying that though, for our so-called lack or decent squad players, they put on a good show and had a fair few chances. Was impressed with Ngog again, quality strike by Insua (I think that's been coming for a while), and Aquilani looked great for the 15 mins he played.

Haven't seen any of the Man City game, but sounds like it was a comfortable win for them.

Hopefully we'll get Stretford at home in the next draw but I have a funny feeling we'll get Tottenham

Voronin had a good second half.

First half gave the first goal away.

Plesis man I agree would of rather had Lucas, heard he had a good game on Sunday though.

I can't wait for Aquilani to link up with Torres.
