No quotes from Masch = Complete rubbish

A move is in the agents interest, he gets a nice slice of the transfer fee!

What "serious talent" new striker would come and play second fiddle to Torres?

Both Crouch and Keane couldn't compete with Torres.

I'm not convinced as there's been no word from masch himself.

It still seems that Rafa is the only person on this planet that doesn't seem to realise we need a couple of strikers!!!!!!
Ok yes, we have 1 of (if not THE best) striker in the world in Torres BUT what happens if he's injured????
Who the hell have we got as a back up?
Ngog??
Oh and super veronin :whistling:

A new striker is not needed, as mentioned no one will come to sit on the bench unless we change our formation and drop Gerrard back, breaking up the best partnership in the Premiership.

We have good back up in, Ngog, Voronin, Babel, Kuyt, and Nemeth.

Why does everyone forget Kuyt? OK he hasn't been playing as an orthodox striker this year, but he is still, by trade, a striker. Babel is also a striker.

Because he's not a great STRIKER!!
Yes you can't fault his workrate etc but he's not a great striker.
I rest my case on the rest of them too!

Would ANY of these players get into man u or chelski's starting 11 as a striker????
Ngog, Voronin, Babel, Kuyt, and Nemeth.
NOT A CHANCE!

I believe Kuyt would get in to the 1st team of Man U and Chelski because of his workrate and is something they both lack.

But none of the rest would get in to the first team of Man U or Chelski but they would get on the bench ahead of some of the back up strikers they have.

Nicolas Anelka Chelsea 19
Cristiano Ronaldo Manchester United 18
Steven Gerrard Liverpool 16
Robinho Manchester City 14
Fernando Torres Liverpool 14
Darren Bent Tottenham Hotspur 12
Kevin Davies Bolton Wanderers 12
Dirk Kuyt Liverpool 12
Frank Lampard Chelsea 12
Wayne Rooney Manchester United 12

As they say, the table doesn't lie.
