Maths what course can i do as i have just had a learn direct induction as id thought id try to improve my self after redundancy whilst looking for work yet ive just spent 4.5 hours doing a maths induction and after the test they said im to intelligent for the course as im above level 2 in adult numberacy, So what is the next stage up form this and where can i do it.
Any one know not looking at stupid qaulifications like a degree as im no where near that intelligent but thought if they said i was well above level 2 i may as well try and get a ceertificate stating that.

cheers folks

i was at learn direct for a lot of last year and didn't do the english or maths courses because i didn't need to (my english and maths GCSE grades were good) they do lots of IT courses which are very useful. why don't you ask to do some of them?

Thats what i want to do but have to do english and maths first other wise i have to pay.

Wouldn't it make sense to do the English course first then?

Tbh the government want everyone to be level 2, so not sure what else there is.

And when they say everyone they mean everyone, including my students some of which are E1, for those who don't know it goes E1, E2, E3, level 1, level 2. Laughable really

I would concentrate on getting level 2 in maths, English and IT (if you don't already) then go into some subject specific stuff
