It's an N95 so didn't want to risk it with there free postage.

you can do that, when they send you the envelope they give you 3 options, i used the special delivery which was insured upto £500 i think. i wouldnt use recorded delivery as insurance doesnt cover the cost of the phone and our friends at royal mail can see from the pre printed envelope that there is a mpobile inside!!
