Be yourself, be confident, and seem like you want to develop the job into a career. Many people dismiss working in McDonalds, but i believe in the times we are in getting a job is a great start for anyone of your age!

GOOD LUCK!

From what I remember, if you're at the interview stage then you're already in unless you really mess it up.

learn this phrase:

Do You Want Fries With That?

Know the menu...

But seriously, it's worth knowing a little about the company beforehand, prepare examples of team work, perhaps having a good memory and being able to work under pressure may be worthwhile things to consider. Also, how to deal with an irate customer and personal hygiene (I know, I laughed too).

Just a few things I can think of. Good luck.

say that your more than happy to spit in the food prior it being served to the customers
#13
Demand the cash before the food is on the counter. Look surly, be massively overweight and always, always give the customer fizzy fanta when they have ordered still fanta. Seems to have worked for any Maccy D's employee that have served me!

wear a name badge and draw big gold stars on it.

#35
Ahaaa, this made me laugh,
you guys have a wicked sense of humour!
I'm in the same boat atm, thinking of applying to work in a call centre though!
Oh the joy!
#36
Out of date passport won't be accepted.

You'll need a birth certificate and your NI card.

Good luck with the interview.
#37
cheers for the help, will let you know how i get on , will be embarrassed if i don't get it
#38
good luck with the interview - just be interested, willing to learn and willing to work hard and you should be fine

if you are still at school etc make sure you don't agree to work too many hours as they will hold you to it, state what days you can work etc

i worked in burgerking when i was 16 and it still remains one of the jobs i enjoyed most so don't listen to the negative comments

good luck
#39
you are 17 and you have nearly 4000 post on this site, are you sure there is enough time in the day for a job and hotukdeals, but the most important thing to do before the interview is go into McD's about half an hour before the interview and buy a couple of burgers, the greasier the better and then rub them all over yourself for that authentic McDonalds smell and you will get the job.

good luck, at least your getting out there compared to the ***** that sit on benefits all day 'looking' for jobs
