Typical mclaren is what I say. If it was ferrari they would have been disqualified from the drivers championship as well. Anything so ferrari wont win.

I suspected that this would be the outcome. All it said on the news was they use a different gas in the tyres.
Anyway the info they got cant be that useful or ferrari would be winning.
That stepney bloke spoke to honda people about it as well but that all went quiet as there not doing so well so dont matter.

Ferrari documents were found at Mclaren so how would the outcome be that ferrari would be winning?

McLaren cheated and deserved to get punished - simple as that.

I also think the drivers should have been punished aswell, Alonso knew all about it.

It wasnt just one booklet that they used, but they had regular updates for a number of races - they even had details of when Ferrari were going to Pit etc.

"The $100 million penalty includes McLaren's expected loss of income"

This is what it says about the fine. Cant they attribute a lot of that to loss of income as they will not win the drivers contructors championship? The fine seems to be less than you first think.

Also i agree that both the drivers should be punished. Its like a teacher getting the exam paper for an exam beforehand and giving the students it, but the students still get to sit the exam?

Thats how i see it anyway, the drivers could only have benefitted from the information, even though they not have known about it, Mclaren should bear that responsibility

Its confirmed that Alonso knew about the Ferrari info.

No doubt that ITV will spread their propoganda and say how the punishment is too severe and that the drivers rightly didnt get punished.

Since renault and alonso, they think that F1 has benefited from ferrari not dominating so they push for anybody but ferrari to win.

I say the sport is just an excuse to pay go-kart drivers £mm's so they can dock their luxury yachts in Monte Carlo and marry some 6'1" gold digging blonde. Look who Ecclestone is married to. Who in their right mind would marry that ugly bastage for anything other than the obvious?
The whole sport is one big joke IMO.

Before you start I know it is your opinion. Honestly though if you think the sport is a joke then why did you even enter this thread and intend to post??:? With the entertainment they produce and what the sport brings to its venue I have no complaints about how much they get paid.

Promised immunity because he allowed his e-mail to be read by the board as far as I know...

The reason I posted is that I used to enjoy F1. Then it became all about multi-millionaire playboys and nothing to do with the purist. That's why I posted.
The Ferrari v Mclaren affair typifies the greed and averice that the sport is now all about.

whats the betting that Alonso doesn't win now since he stuffed Ron Dennis?
I guess they could 'detune' his car to make him pay by letting a rookie beat him!
He's been acting like a baby ever since Lewis started beating him and bad mouthing the team. He is not a team player. I hope Ron gives him the boot for next year and he ends up driving for Spyker (no offence to Spyker!) We'd then see how good/bad he really is.
If I where Ron I would have pulled out from F1, at the end of the day when Ferrari where winning all the time the audiences dropped drastically, they (the FIA etc) need the publicity and performance that Mclaren bring. The audiences have swelled this year because of Lewis Hamilton and the fight (on track) between Ferrari and mclaren. I think Ferrari are acting like babies because they were losing. This kind of espionarge (spell?) goes on all the time in F1 (and other sports) It should've been delt with in house by Ferrari and there employee and ended there. They have spoilt this year by stupid off track politics.

Come on Lewis, beat Alonso and make his day!!

Alonso is good, believe me. He started from the very bottom - at Minardi and worked his way up to become World Champion.

Lewis got the top seat straight away, I would have actually liked to have seen him start from a lower team. But he has proven he is a top class driver.

Ferrari in F1 are just like manchester united in football, everybody hates them because of their success in the nineties.
#19
Yep, some dont understand that F1 governing bodies did everthing they could to stop Ferrari freom winning, it was after Shumi's dominant period that they began to change things like qualifying, tyers, pits stops, areo's, point system etc
