Hey all

I already have an Iomega Screenplay Pro which I got courtesy of this site for £50. I need to get another one, does anyone have any suggestions that are good quality and nice and cheap (if that's possible!).

I would really appreciate the input and I will give you 'virtual rep'!

Cheers all

Look at Sumvision's range of Cyclone MKV players, extremely cheap and very capable.

Do you definitely want one with an enclosure for HDD? I personally prefer the flexibility of a portable HDD and a smaller player.

As others have said an Acer Revo is an amazing piece of kit when setup with XBMC. Here is a video of a similar setup to mine.

I used to have a popcornhour and i've heard you can get similar Western Digital media players that can also handle hd but have no personal experience with them.

We have WDTV live in the lounge linked up to a 1.5TB HD and that works well. My eldest has the Iomega Screenplay 500GB and this is quite small and easy to operate, so I was looking for a similar one for my youngest.

Im open to options, but basically im looking for 500GB - 1TB HD player - if they are seperate but small, that's not too much of an issue I suppose.

I think the acer is a bit pricey for what im looking for.

I have just found an old WD 320GB usb passport drive. Will this work with a basic media player? If so, whats a nice cheap one you would recommend?

Thanks

Wdtv hd is good for your price bracket . I used one for the last year and it plays everything.

I'd make sure you get the correct one as I noticed WD have a non HD one as well.
