Merlin Annual Pass - Can you Cancel it before collecting?

My sister bought a Merlin Annual Pass online on Friday am to be collected at thorpe Park, but didnt realise just how far down Thorpe parke actually is. She had planned on using it over school holidays as when her partner is home from abroad they usually head off somewhere, but with her son starting nursery this month, wont be quite to often.

She has just text me to look into whether its possible for her to cancel the pass - does anyone know if it can be if it hasnt been collected? Is she covered by the distance selling rules?

Any infoemail contact info for the company appreciated!

Nikki

Doesn't look good number 22 in T&Cs state...Refunds in respect of Annual Passes are not available in any circumstances; this does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

I guess her next best option is to see if she can sell it on but then she would need to go down with person as they need the card it was booked with to collect it - a fair hike from Aberdeen, Scotland area! Cant believe she never looked up where Thorpe Park was...!

I think they take your photograph with a Merlin Pass,I knwo they def take your pic with the Lego Annual passes at time of issue as we've got those,so I would think it's same with Merlin pass.
The theme parks and places are all owned by Tussauds so same rules likely apply,so if collected,it be hard to sell on cos the person pic wouldn't match up when they go in park themselves.

Tell her to give them a ring they may be sympathetic considering the distance.

Yeh damn long way, litrally Thorpe Park is the furthest one away you from up in Scotland.

i know it does not help massivly from scotland, but could't you ask to get it changed to Alton towers in staffordshire, s this pass works there 2?

Think my sister thought the rides were a bit grown up for her son at Alton Towers and they have been there once before her son was born, but havent been to Thorpe - silly moo just rpesumed Thorpe was in same kind of location as Alton Towers - she is away at Haven Golden sands just now but havent had a reply back to my last text to her so she has maybe phoned them - think number was on the print out she took - will chase her tomorrow and see what she is saying but I know she wont be so keen on pass knowing all other parks are so far away!

Dont suppose anyone knows a pass that covers Drayton manor, or others closer to Scotland? Or have heard of a pass that covers parks in europe and also some in UK? I vaguely remember when my brother was in army in Germany he got a pass for some place over there that covered other places in europe and UK - it was cheaper than buying an annual pass here but could be it no longer exists? brother is away with his wife for a few days so dont want to contact him as its his first break away with the wife for years - maybe since before kids were born and oldest is 18 now!

Thanks for info\advice so far though!
