Message centre number on Iphone 3gs

Hey guys

ok my cousin just got an iPhone 3gs on contract today and he can't send txt messages and still can't. His contract is with Vodafone and can't seem to find where to check the message centre number and what to change it to of and when he finds it

Does anyone have an idea

So is that the proper settings for Vodafone?

APN: internet
username: web
password: web


as the o2 one is mobile.02.co.uk

My cousin can't send texts as it keeps coming up failed, this is my only point I need to fix :)

As with o2 do you need to send a txt message to activate MMS functionality?

Yes you send a blank txt to 1010 then you get a message saying o2 are setting up your mms and will reply when it's done :)

I'm not saying your way is wrong, it's maybe just another way to activate the function from the user end :)

Ok dokey the settings above never worked, altho his were different and when he changed them he could still get on the net...3g

Would it be that vodafone haven't activated his messages?
